The children featured in this video are Ngobe, Panama's largest indigenous group. Currently their way of life and the area they live in is being destroyed by the Panamanian government and an American-based company, AES to build a hydroelectric dam.

Dawn, This is a great book. If I remember the author is an EX dam engineer. He lays out a great case against dam construction and all the negatives around such projects around the world. I have not yet read this interview with him that Jan has posted.
