I dont understand why hiding the idea of aliens is so paramount. I think evidence of extraterrestrial life would enlighten a lot of folks, and I think it would make the world a better place. It would give us reason to work together, collectively, towards a proper specious presentation.

It seems it's A-OK to tell folks that at any time, any place - anyone could surface as a terrorist and blow you up, your kids, your factory, school, nearby unguarded nuclear power facility - that's OK, but, no help from ET.
