There comes a time, not to often when a special person comes into view. We are Blessed to have such a person in our lifetime. We should embrace this Special person. Sen. Barack Obama. My parents had two people with a great vision; dedication; and desire to make this world a better place. How often do we find that special someone sincere and willing to make a significant difference. A wonderful Change...
Don't let this one get away, Elect Sen. Barack Obama for President of the United States of America.

I think your right. He has the makings of a great president. I believe he wants with every fiber of his being to be a great president, and he will be. Expect the best and get it.

Not everyone agrees with Obama but when he gets into office it will be the greatest thing are economy has seen in a long while. To elect McCain is to allow the economy to continue to skink in to a depression. We need Obama.

I only hope that hes not like other politicians who talk a lot about reform and then turn around and don't do anything substantial when they get into office. Regardless, he has my vote and I hope I'm wrong.

I do think Obama cares enough to recruit the best individuals to fill important positions. George W. has not concerned himself with competence. He has chosen cronies, unqualified people, enabling him to do things that have been questionable at best. Possibly illegal?

What he said was, "with your help, I can do it..." If we are going to come home from work and pop a top and let Obama do all the work, we are probably not going to be impressed with the results. Most of our other presidents have evolved into a person who hides from the media......remember those pictures of those guys waving to the press corp 3 city blocks away? Nobody ever got very close to them and they end up surrounded by a staff that insulates the chief executive from the realities of the world. That's politics as usual. That is what Obama says he is trying to evolve above.

A half white Black American, who calls his White Grandmother, a "Typical White Woman" has more miles to travel than most of us do.

Sorry, but this guy is going to not be the "Hope" that he is selling...

He is going to be more trouble than we need:(

I am not only going to vote for Obama, I am going to work on his campaign this summer. I am going to try my best to get him elected.

Patrick, we are in trouble. We are in a war with no end, a climate crisis that demands immediate action, an economy that needs a strong leader to navigate it through skyrocketing fuel prices.

How is Obama going to be "more trouble than we need"?

It seems to me he's the only chance we have.

McCain would continue Bush's failed policies.

    Your thoughts?

OMG, I think I might faint, PLEASE HEAL ME obamESSIAH!!! I repent, please forgive me for being a "typical white person", I'm sorry I have clung to guns and God. Please drench me in your cleansing spittle as you deliver another eloquently worded load of horse shit!

We are where we are. I don't see Obama as the messiah. Barack Obama is one of the two candidates mainstream media decided they would cover in the Democratic Primaries. Mainstream media chose the candidates they wanted the Democratic Party to have.

We need to turn it around. They think their gave us division and to a point they have. I think if we try we can turn it around on the Republicans and support Barack Obama. We don't have to be divided. They chose to cover a black man and a woman. Race and gender and now they are covering it as 'race' and 'gender'.

If Barack Obama is the Democratic Nominee, I plan to support him. Four more years of War and war profiteering is more than America can take. We have to change back to an administration that realizes 'We The People' is what our Constitution was written for. Not 'We The Corporation'!

Lets think about something here,. Have we gotten so sensitive that we have to bash someones freedom of speech and opinion? If anyone wants to take out of context a few things Sen. Obama could have said a better way for your ears then I pity you. Get informed!
The man said we are bitter, aren't you? How many more of our soldiers have to die for a war waged by lies before you get bitter? Look at the deficit? Maybe you aren't bitter but, I bet the moms and dads that can't give their children a better up bringing are bitter plenty. I AM BITTER but I thank God for blessing us with a man like Sen. Obama and now I can be Optimistic.

Just to clarify, when Sen. Obama spoke of people clinging to their guns and God; He was speaking of clinging to your Rights(especially when so many civil liberties have been trampledon) and your comfort (GOD). I Personally cling to what I can hold onto when things are being taken from me. Also, I cling to God for help, comfort and strength. Once again, toughen up! Maybe Sen. Obama could have said things in a different way so as not to make you cry but, seriously, grow up. He may have been under the impression that he was speaking to adults in these perilous times...

I'm voting for Obama because I'm tired of being a pessimist. For almost 8 years, all I've done was bitch about how stupid we are for electing such a stupid man to be president...twice. I'm sorry, but right now, Barak's face is a ray of sunshine amongst the old faces of old politics and gloom. Call him the messiah, call him Hussein, call him a Muslim, call him whatever you please. Hate him or love him, just being who he is represents change, and lord knows, we are primed for one.

embrace the guy? hehe =D ugh...I'm may not think too badly of the guy right now but it's not about that either. He still has to deliver on things. Typically that's not always easy. And optomism or not, the efficacy of all that "deliverance" remains to be seen in how it actually plays out...

I like twodee's tenacity. Yeah we better get what we want. and sometimes i do wonder how Obama will change the world when every other rich guy is a mfer who thinks his money really is the evolutionary "mechanism" scientists have been looking for all this time, viewing the have-nots as less than human practically in the overall scope of their concerns and intelligence supposedly; those vast less are trivial, or at best, a labor and not of much love. ...that's why I'm still partial to Edwards...Obama borrowed on his platform as well unfortunately imho.

    "Everywhere is freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity
Tax the rich, feed the poor
Till there are no rich no more...

    World pollution, theres no solution
    Institution, electrocution
Just black and white, rich or poor
Them and us, stop the war

Id love to change the world
But I dont know what to do
So Ill leave it up to you"

.I'm voting for Obama because I do see a chance for change. I believe he is going to put a great deal of thought into who is in his cabinet and who his advisors are. I don't expect to see a bunch of career people in there unless they are clean as can be. I truly believe he wants to be a great for the people president. I think what we feel and think are going to be very important to him. Yes, he is half white and half black. That ought to please the middle of the road people. There is a typical white woman and a typical black woman. We are basically the same but in truth we do have life experiences that are a little different and make us who we are. Doesn't make one better or worse just a little different. Most of us don't think, or worry about it. It just is and it isn't bad. Personally I wouldn't care if Hillary ran up until the convention if she wouldn't keep misspeaking and doing things that will hurt us when we have to go against the Republicans. Apparently she is unable to do that. I hope the super delegates cut her off at the pass soon

I wondered if you'd know who they were twodee =) did you hear that song come to life in your head?

Marilynn' that's funny you mention his cabinet:

    Barnstorming Obama
plans to pick Republicans for cabinet:

"As Barack Obama enters the final stages of the fight for the Democratic presidential nomination, he is preparing to detach the core voters of John McCain, the likely Republican nominee, with the same ruthless determination with which he has peeled off Hillary Clinton’s supporters.

The scene is set for a tussle between the two candidates for the support of some of the sharpest and most independent minds in politics. Obama is hoping to appoint cross-party figures to his cabinet such as Chuck Hagel, the Republican senator for Nebraska and an opponent of the Iraq war, and Richard Lugar, leader of the Republicans on the Senate foreign relations committee...."

"Ten Years After" was some of the first music my high school band played when I bought my first SEARS electric guitar. That song did come to life for me. A real nice flash back for me echoz.. thanks for that.
