Rangers, scottish cup winners!

Okay the UEFA cup was err..not so good and at the climax of the SPL was erm...rubbish. However the gers won the CIS cup after a pen shootout against Dundee United and today crowned scottish cup champs!. It was a good day wheather wise and the game was a classic, QoS 2-3 Rangers, and who scored the beginner? non other than the exellent Kris Boyd. Yes his pencil thin moustache is a bit dodgy but the free kick in the 33rd minute was a cracker as a lay off by Barry Ferguson let Kris boyd smash the ball to the top right corner. After the goal it was mostly at the middle of the glorious Hampden pitch but in the 43rd minute, American Demarcus Beasley striked the ball low to make the score 2-0 to Rangers, Queen Of the South were starting to look worried. The first half was ended at 2-0 and 15 minutes later the second half began. 5 minutes in the half Tosh hit the ball in the net by an impressive cross by Sean 'O' Conner and amazingly 3 minutes later Robert Harris's Free kick was succesful, the score now was 2-2. A calm gers team kept their cool as in the 72nd minute the exellent American Demarcus Beasley presented a tremendous corner and the man on fire Kris Boyd headered the ball in the net. 20 minutes later. The trophy was now in blue and red ribbons and then was lifted first by captain Barry Ferguson then lifted by the rest of the players including Boyd, Beasley, Alexander and the rest of the remarkable gers team. then the Gaffer Walter Smith lifted the trophy last. However Queen Of the South fans should feel tremendously proud of their team after getting in the Scottish cup final after so many years and put up one hell of the fight! congrats to QoS but my hat goes to the gers. they were in every final in scotland and in the uefa cup final, they had to play so many games this season, 68, and had to goe through so many injuries this season and still played really well, im proud of what Rangers achieved this season but even though celtic won the league, Rangers have done so much better than them this season, by far, and next seasons SPL title will belong to Rangers!
