"John Hagee is one of the Jewish people's best friends," Los Angeles talk show host Dennis Prager said on the air yesterday morning. "Identifying John Hagee with anti-Semitism would be like identifying Raoul Wallenberg, the great Swede who saved thousands of Jews in the Holocaust, with anti-Semitism."
Orthodox Rabbi Aryeh Scheinberg, of Congregation Rodfei Sholom in San Antonio, appeared at an afternoon press conference yesterday to say Mr. Hagee's "words were twisted and used to attack him for being anti-Semitic."

Sigh, I think he is a sincere and caring person for Israel. Whatever is in the back of someones mind, well we all believe our own things. I feel that he is sincere & should not be judged so harshly. There is only one judge & it is G-d, no one knows what will happen in the end, that is where faith comes in and it is up to an individual to be accountable for their life on earth. I think a person is judged on his/her actions in this life. So try to be a good person & help people & realize your sins & try to correct them. That is all anyone can do. I think Hagee is alright, I read his books and he is a very passionate and caring man. He is a friend of Israel & they can use all the friends they can get right now. Leave the judging up to the "Big-guy" in the sky, and just do your part to make this world a better place. & pray pray pray to whoever or however you connect, just pray for everyone!

This is just an example of the The Evangelical-Jewish Alliance.
Christian Zionism grows out of a particular theological system called premillennial dispensationalism, which originated in early 19th-century England. The preaching and writings of a renegade Irish clergyman, John Nelson Darby, and a Scottish evangelist, Edward Irving, emphasized the literal and future fulfillment of such teachings as the Rapture, the rise of the Antichrist, the Battle of Armageddon, and the central role that a revived state of Israel would play during the end days. Darby and Irving argued that portions of the books of Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah and Revelation predict when Jesus will return and how the final battle of history will take place.
Darby brought these doctrines to the U.S. during eight missionary journeys. They captured the hearts and minds of those who attended Bible and prophecy conferences in the years after the Civil War. Darby’s teachings were featured in the sermons of some of the great preachers of the 1880-1920 period: the evangelists Dwight L. Moody and Billy Sunday; major Presbyterian preachers such as James Brooks; Philadelphia radio preacher Harry B. Ironsides; and Cyrus I. Scofield. Scofield applied Darby’s eschatology to his version of the scriptures and provided an outline of premillennial dispensationalist notations on the text. The Scofield Bible (1909) gave dispensationalist teachings much of their prominence and popularity. It became the Bible version used by most evangelical and fundamentalist Christians for the next 60 years.
Christian Zionists insist that all of historic Palestine -- including all the land west of the Jordan which was occupied by Israel after the 1967 war -- must be under the control of the Jewish people, for they see that as one of the necessary stages prior to the second coming of Jesus.

Why anybody would defend Hagee, I'll never understand.

Then you don't understand Christian Zionism

Like I said, be good in your own faith, kindness, accountability, caring, whatever you see as good deeds that you could fulfill, will all get you to the good place in the end. Anyone has a right to believe their version of the right thing, but when it's all said & done, I think a man/woman is judged by their deeds & not whether they think for sure that Jesus is the Messiah.
I'm sorry I really don't believe in a Messiah, just G-d & being a good person. I still think I will get to the right place in the end. At least, in the meantime I am not a jerk to people.
I say if Hagee wants to promote support of Israel, that is great, not all people agree with him on everything, but they are open minded, especially when it comes to support & oh yeah, taking his 6million dollars to Israel.-
