"You're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my chief of staff, Andy Card -- actually I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot." And I said, "It must have been a horrible accident."

"But I was whisked off there -- I didn't have much time to think about it, and I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief who was sitting over here walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower. America's under attack."

There was no live video coverage of the first plane hitting the tower. There couldn't be. Video of the first plane hitting the tower did not surface until AFTER the second plane had hit World Trade Center 2.

[www.whatreallyhappened.com] had the opportunity to talk with Principal Gwen Rigell of Booker Elementary school for about twenty minutes. ... I asked her if in fact the President had been watching the events of 9-11 unfold on TV before he went into that classroom and she told me "Absolutely not". There was no TV in the corridor or anywhere near that classroom.

  • Human memory is notoriously unreliable. This "lie" isn't particularly destructive, so I see no reason to worry. I'm more concerned with the fact that the Bush Admin. signed off on torture

  • shouldnt he be asked to explain himself by a reporter at a press meeting or something? How can this just go by? There would be SO many people asking him to explain himself if our prime minister had said that.

  • Sure, I think Bush's administration has lied but every administration has. When an event like this happens, some people have a mental block or surge and they partially forget what has happened. This isn't a lead onto the conspiracy of 9/11, but more than likely a misunderstanding.

  • The guys is getting old. Perhaps he just forgot the events of that day. In all honesty, I think it's a bit late now to start worrying about this stuff. I agree with mypsychoticself. We should be more concerned about the torture going on.

  • Conspiracy theorists would argue that this is proof Bush knew what was about to happen all along.

    If he in fact knew this atack was about to happen, this is a way for him of lying to the people at what moment he 'realized' America was under attack.

    On the other hand, the man isn't that young anymore. Could just have been his memory messing up.

  • Okay, if your surprised, then I don't know where you've been for the last 8 years......No one had to tell me that the U.S. Gov was responsible for 9/11, I knew it the minute the news was broadcast....It's just common sense, We have the most sophisticated Global Defense facility in the world, It's called NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) It's hidden in the Colorado Mt's, the government monitors every inch of the sky 24/7, we can deploy jet fighters in minutes and have jet fighters in other areas of the world in less than 1 Hr....There was something wrong with that scenario from the jump....Your foolish if you're not convinced that our Government is responsible for 9/11 it was so poorly plotted anyway, if it had been plotted by ''Arab Terrorists'' , it probably would have been more organized...... It looks like the work of a bunch of Red Neck Confederates....

  • I don't really see the point of this article. So he lied to sound a little more dramatic, he has lied for much worse reasons throughout his presidency. I love how the video opens with "you don't have to be a conspiracy theorist" because I fully expect Mobius to regal us with the stories of how the moon landing were faked and where they hide the ufos.

  • Mobius2012: First, we don't have technology capable of monitoring "every inch of the sky 24/7;" second, even if we did have that technology, we wouldn't have had (prior to 9/11) any reason to pay much attention to commercial aircraft; third, it was well-organized enough that they succeeded; and fourth, redneck confederates would be more likely to fly a plane into the NAACP headquarters. And really, if Bush was behind 9/11, why was one of the planes headed toward the White House?

  • lol noob at mypsychoticself. You're obviously not a very good conspiracy theorist. Any good conspiracy theorist could tell you that the plane was headed for the whitehouse so that people like you would say "There's no way the government would attack itself!" If the conspiracy is true, then they were right.

    But honestly, Tower 7 says it all. There were 3 buildings that collapsed - with the efficiency of a planned demolition, mind you - only two of which were hit by planes. That's right: There was a building right next to Tower 11 - I believe that's its name, but don't quote me on it - that imploded on itself after not being touched or affected by anything, and it did so in nearly freefall. Freefall. That means that in the process of falling down, not a single bit of the material that made up the building was hindered --> planned demolition. The official word is that it caught fire from falling debree... falling debree made it catch fire? O.K., but then what? The fire weakened the steel beams? Yea, that's what they say, but only jet fuel can do that, right? (Oh, and jet fuel doesn't actually burn hot enough to weaken steel, nor does regular fire.)

    I don't care about any other facts or theories about the 9/11 conspiracy, because they all seem to be speculation and some can't even be proven. What can be proven is that Tower 7 imploded at freefall in the style of planned demolition and for no legitimate reason. If that doesn't raise a red flag, then you, my friends, are committing double-think, willful suspension of disbelief, etc.

    Oh, and this stuff has happened in history before. Nero? of the Roman Empire? Check him out. Some historians believe that Nero set fire to his own city to make room for a new palace. Also, Many historians consider Nero's reign to be the turning point of the Roman Empire after which everything went downhill...

    1st of all, there's no conspiracy if it's the truth, 2nd I've made no mention of U.F.O.s I'll leave that up to the ufologists... and to mention or even question the moon landing and if it actually occurred would be out of context, your not dealing with an irrational person here, why don't you make a logical observation of the 9/11 incident and the subsequent events, it would seem quite obvious to a competent person.....

  • Fighter jets were dispatched in pairs to investigate planes off course 37 times the previous year. With 4 planes diverging father off course than remotely usual, the US was in the middle of exercises that very day which produced false blips all over the radar. Concidence? And our defense, the best in the world, when they finally sent the jets up they were send way off course. Coincidence? And when all was said and done, all aircraft was made to land with no planes in the sky - except one. It was authorized by our government and it was taking Bin Laden's relatives back to Saudi Arabia. I could go on but you get the picture - or not.

    You must have been sleeping during most of your history classes, because what went down was military tactics 101, diversion....Mis-direction...um..The government wouldn't attack itself?...Think again, that's the whole point genius, what better way to convince the people your trying to fool? It's a subversive strategy, a ploy..... ''They succeeded''? evil doesn't succeed in my book, oh but yeah they succeeded in fooling Americans, fools fooling fools, thats brilliant...:)
    I feel sorry for the families who till this day suffer from the trauma of the experience. Those of you unconvinced of this, should be ashamed, Americans are supposed to be so sharp... and intelligent....Your proving otherwise...

    and as for Military Monitoring capabilities
    Ok....Satellite systems coupled with Radar monitoring technology among other more advanced monitoring devices make it quite possible to monitor all aircraft activity throughout the continental U.S., just wikipedia NORAD bro, that'll answer your naive question.

  • i'm more concerned about the nat geo channel lying to me - all the shows , all the interviews , all of it has been a part of the conspiracy - and to think i've been collecting the mags. from the first issue to the present one - i feel so cheap .

  • Ha! That's very true eldamon but then again we can't assume everyone has heard them all. I believe the only way we will get accountability is for the American people to demand it. We can't repeat it often enough when there are those out there that still don't get it.
