The rapid growth of companies offering personal genetic DNA tests has prompted officials in California and New York to start investigation into the legality and accuracy of these services.

Although Congress passed a law forbidding employers or insurance companies from using DNA information against Citizens, this doesn't mean that confidentiality is secure.
This practice should include HIPPA Regulations in all states for the protection of the individuals using this service. -
You could give a person a sheet of braille and tell them it's their DNA code. How would they know the difference?

If the information is accurate, it could reveal a great deal about the client that they never knew before. Although on the other hand, that also reveals information to others who might exploit it; which makes one wonder how these companies are planning on keeping all of this sensitive information safe?
