  • I haven't payed much attention to ABC since the hatchet job they did on Bill Clinton with that piece of trash and lies "The Path to 9/11". Their documentaries are lacking in facts to say the least.

  • I think the last line in the article is important to note:

    "I love investigative journalism, but that's not what we're doing," he [executive producer Arnold Shapiro] said. "This show is heartening. It makes you feel good about these people who are doing their best to protect us."

    Not that I would ever watch it, but there is a place for this kind of show, I suppose. The problem is that this show will get 11 hours of airtime and a yet undetermined amount of marketing/PR to support it, while actual investigative journalism into what happens on the border will get far less meaningful coverage on TV.

    The result: just another program that softly nudges Americans to "feel" rather than "think." Ayn Rand would disapprove.

  • I cant wait to see how they chop this footage up to show how many people they catch coming into the country. They should do a show following all the people and drugs they actually get into the country! It would have to take up a lot more airtime...

  • Oh yeah, this will be fabo right after the high quality dancing with th stars and bachelor. Are you kidding. Poor networks are so desperate for any ratings. Wish they kept their best judgement during development meetings. Pass.

  • I live relatively close to the border and I am not heartened by what homeland security is doing down there. I feel that their actions are designed to provoke anger from mexican communities on the one hand and lead to an increased war on drugs on the other.

    ABC news is part of the conspiracy, they pretend to be questioning of the Bush administration and then portray those that oppose it in a negative light. there is no liberal media bias, but plenty of bias towards the Bush's facist administration.
