It's been 19 years and Indiana Jones is back! And Harrison Ford is 65. Does the film seem as aged as he does, or does it live up to the legacy of the series?

It was terrible. Seemed totally dated. I get keeping with the world in order to continue the journey, but it's a world that felt important 20 years ago. Just because you add more special effects doesn't mean we can buy into an old Harrison and terrible and PREDICTABLE story.
-
Um let me guess. He finds the skull ad returns it? I think they are all stupid and predictable. Now, Indiana getting killed and leaving it hanging for someone to step into his place, now that would be interesting and breathe new life into the series.
-
I still want to see it. I loved the Last Crusade so much. Or maybe I should just rent the Last Crusade, it will make me sad to see Indy pathetic and swinging on well placed "weight sustaining" vines. Ha.

As always you guys gave an entertaining, witty review about a movie I was interested in seeing. Thanks for the heads up that it was lame.
...Still gonna see though :)
What's the name of the funny curly haired, baseball hat wearing guy? he's my favorite one, I always love hearing what he has to say.-

It wasn't nearly as good as the rest and I missed Marcus and his dad as characters... but, it is Harrison Ford...swoon and sigh.;-).

It was a little fun but I have to agree, the magic is gone. I didn't even completely understand the story so after awhile I was just hoping on good action sequences. Which they were but when that's all you have to look forward to when it comes to a film, it's kind of sad.
Next summer blockbuster please... -
nice stuff.

the movie is more entertaining for maybe 10 years olds, when you can believe everything. but the old ones were better. my Dad was pissed at this one. "too fake & so silly", father said.
-
I want to shave Lucas's head too. I mean come on. What is going on over there at the ranch? Obviously nothing that has to do with story.

Someone definitely made a big mistake.

i like the concept but use you imagination set up a studio with a green screen a stand next to it do all your story telling with the film showing on it then edite it with layer and effects and it will be so cool

I know you want to see it. But don't. You will anyway. Wait until it's on a plane. For free. It is so bad.
-
awesomely bad! i think it is exactly what I was expecting, and come on people, he survived an atom bomb! That's exactly what I wanted to see.

This review is spot on. Laura, I think you give the film makers too much credit when you say they tried mixing things up with putting the relic back instead of taking it out. I don't thin they put that much thought into it, frankly. The whole movie seemed phoned-in on every level.
-
Well, i thought this movie was ridiculously unbelievable...i mean don't get me wrong i understand its a movie, but even the first 3 indy movies weren't made like this..c'mon, shea lebeouff swinging through trees with a swarm of monkeys behind him...really?
besides stuff like that, the cinemetography for it was pretty amazing. -
Completed May 11, 2008, 13 days before the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
This cartoon is the companion piece to the internet popular Lord of the Rings by George Lucas. In this mockumentary, Steven Spielberg starts to feel like his baby Indiana Jones 4 might be in jeopardy with George Lucas still around. -
I do wonder if some people have even seen the original Indiana Jones movies - yes, we had to suspend our disbelief in them too.
I, apparently, was the only person from Current TV to actually like the film. Yes, there's too much CGI, Lucas should have left Spielberg alone to make the movie, Blanchett's accent is rubbish, it hardly makes sense, and it isn't a patch on the first three films, but it's fun, entertaining, fast-paced, and features one of the all time great Hollywood characters, who in my opinion, was well preserved by the aging Harrison Ford.
And yes, I loved the scene with the fridge!-

The story of the Crystal skulls here was important too the people who knew nothing of them.. Sorry too see such utter nonsense like Ford is too old etc and the usual blah blah from others.. But the story really had some meaning too it.. Area 51 for one, and of course the 13 skulls... Many here today believe and dont want too make mistakes like they did 10,000 years ago of the time of Atlantis.. Are Space friends are here ! :) we use thier knowledge everyday.. Look at your cellphone! :) But they came here specially after we the Government was playing with the Atomic Bomb! Which could been a disaster for this world if it destroyed the inner core of this planet! Which in turn would killed everything here!!! So make fun all you want.. There was a purpose for this film ! :) Take Care and see all of you on december 12th, 2012 !! Sincerely, Commander Falcon

I enjoyed the film! I think think there was too much anticipation and we were expecting something almost unimaginable. Yeah so I don't know why the monkey's were instant friends with Shia and yes, Blanchett's accent was not the best. But as much as I love Indiana Jone's first three movies, they are all pretty much cheesy and deal with legends and such. This one was cheesy and dealt with the a legend. CG, by the way is in pretty much all action movies now and we have more we are able to do so obviously we use it more! If we were using the same effects as we used to, I don't think action movies would still be worth it! And Harrison has aged amazingly!! Not to mention that if they are going to make Shia the next Indiana then they need to have this transitional movie with both of them. I just hope it's not, "The Adventures of Mutt Jones" lol. =)

What do you do when you start losing plots for films, add interdimensional aliens, poor movie, could of been so much better!
