During a standardized test, Maria comes to a crossroads when she reaches the ethnicity portion of the test. Is she Mexican or is she American? Can she bubble in both? She knows she's gone through many difficult experiences throughout her life that define her as both Mexican and American. Stuck in the Coatlicue State, follow Maria through a series of flashbacks as she recalls confusing moments in her life in hopes of identifying her ethnicity and culture.
