Around noon, a Qassam rocket landed near Eshkol in Israeli West Negev.
From the initial explosion a farm worker sustained medium injuries to his hands, and was evacuated to Beer Sheva Hospital.
Qassam rocket attacks are launched by Hamas who openly controls the Gaza Strip. Qassam rockets are small enough to carry on a man's back and be launched from any location including a very dense residential area. The attacks are usually directed at civilians rather than on military forces.
