It must have been frightening to stand and protest the continued occupation with armed soldiers all over the country.

good for them. i dont blame them at all. if Iraqi forces came to the U.S. and tried to tell us how to live and murder our innocent people, then i would do the same thing and I hope others would too.

This administration has killed thousands of innocent Iraqis, destroyed their country, and now our soldiers are trying to force Christianity down their throats at gunpoint. I don't blame them for protesting.

    Again I say

Call your congressmen. Send an email or letter.
Tell them we want "no more war funding" so we can bring "troops home NOW"!

Let's leave the army hospitals to Iraqi doctors. Leave our barracks to Iraqis who are now homeless. Pay reparations. Give them the keys to our embassy for their own use as state capitol. Stop paying Halliburton to NOT do work and start paying Iraqis and Iraqi companies to rebuild their own communities.

The IEDs are planted for Americans. The sooner we leave, the fewer the roadside bombs in Iraq. We'll be safer all around.

Here are emails, phone numbers, addresses - just click on your state:

Oh...what? But Fox News said they loved us in Iraq!! I can't believe what I'm reading! You are telling me that Iraqis do not want their country occupied by a foreign army?!!

To not allow them to protest is hypocritacal of the government that occupies.

Here is a look at how the iraqi children are doing.

I hope this gets us closer to eventually moving out of the middle east. With this continuing it will just increase the number of deaths on both sides.

Are these the "open arms" we were expecting to welcome us in the beginning?

This is what needs to happen! Iraqis are tired of what their home has turned into and they are stepping up taken back what belongs to them. The struggle for all oppressed people is happening everywhere, and Iraqis are taking a stand and setting and example for all oppressed people. My heart and raised fist goes out to the Iraqis, may they be safe and victorious in their struggle. All Power to the People!

i feel so hopeless when i see this kind of information. sure, i can call my congressman, but i don't have any hope that my call will even do anything. the current government knows that the majority of Americans don't want this war, but they don't even listen to us! it's like Al Gore telling us to change our lightbulbs...this hugely massive global warming crisis, and all we can do as individuals is change a damn lightbulb? i know my country deserves my fighting for it, but i honestly have no hope anymore.

This was bound to happen sooner or later. First we bomb them, then occupy there country, after that, some of our soldiers murder a family also raping the women, and then we try to rip their faith away and replace it with another. Is anyone surprised by this? Well done Iraqis.

if my country was continuously occupied and the occupying country then tried to set up a government that i didnt favor i'd do alot more than just protest. i would take up arms. and although i love our troops i have to say that i cant support them while they are fighting for something illegal and immoral.

think about it. this is similar to what happened during the United States fight for independence. many were in favor of the british in america but we fought as militiamen to defeat the british who were just using us.

I believe that America should pull out all troops from every country and dismantle every base. Do not care to be there to "protect" just don't. Come back home and fix here. It's falling apart here.

Iraq can do fine by itself. America ran away from the British with less of a government and less of an idea of what it was they needed to do and it survived.

Don't baby Iraq. Let them be. Let it be.

Americans should stay in America, Iraqis in Iraq... Unless we're on vacation, but Baghdad just doesn't do it for me.

We americans live in peace and daily calmness,I think that if they came over here with blazing cannons, and high powered maching guns shooting depleted uranium bullets and expecting you to assimilate daily we would fight .

What took them so long? And yea, 126*F doesnt sound like fun. And if they came over here, I honestly don't know if we'd protest and fight. We'd of course pull out the military and there are those that typically stand up for what they disagree with. But I dont have very much confidence very many Americans. I would like to think we would..but I wouldnt be surprised if most people just shut up and dealt with it. This isnt 1776...and Americans dont come like they used to.

Who in the World like to be invaded by anything?

    -What took them so long?

What about oppression! Being in a stage of oppression by a superior force can kills anyone's will to respond in a time manner.

Don't forget about Blackwater, above-the-law mercenaries working for the US stationed in Iraq.

That alone is worth a couple of protests.

I always hope that the average Iraqi citizen knows that I don't hate him or her.
