The music world was In Bloom-in' shock last night after hearing that the ashes of grunge god KURT COBAIN have been PINCHED!
I can also reveal that the wife of the NIRVANA legend, COURTNEY LOVE, is said to be "suicidal" after finding Kurt's remains missing from her Hollywood home.
She had kept the singer's ashes in a pink teddy-bear-shaped bag along with a lock of his hair.
But a couple of weeks ago, she was horrified to discover them gone, along with thousands of pounds worth of clothes and jewellery.
Courtney said: "I can't believe anyone would take Kurt's ashes from me.
"I find it disgusting and right now I'm suicidal.
"If I don't get them back I don't know what I'll do." The sad news will sicken the millions of Cobain and Nirvana fans worldwide.
Kurt, DAVE GROHL and KRIST NOVOSELIC mesmerised the music world in the 90s with hits like In Bloom and Smells Like Teen Spirit.
The band has sold more than 62 million albums worldwide, with classic album Nevermind selling more than ten million copies aloneāit's still regarded by critics as one of the greatest albums ever made.
But in 1994, tragedy struck when Kurt killed himself with a shotgun while high on heroin. Some of his ashes were scattered in a Buddhist temple in New York, others were scattered in the Wishkah River near his home in Washington State, and the rest remained with Courtney...until recently, that is.
She said: "They were all I had left of my husband. I used to take them everywhere with me just so I could feel Kurt was still with me.

Sounds as though his ashes were all over the place anyway...a little here, a little there. But, you know...they're just ashes. Don't be suicidal, Courtney. There are too many other things to be suicidal about.
-
What are they going to do, snort him?

I stiil connect when I see his picture. The music left an impact.
Don't worry Courtney he lives on in every young guitar player who is reaching out to be understood. -
If they were in a pink teddy bear bag I doubt the thieves knew what they were taking.

Why are people taking this so lightly? I think it's horrible.
-
He's done so much heroin that you could get high by snorting his ashes.

Not gonna feel sorry for Courtney Love ... no way ... never gonna happen ... ever. And it is sickening that a mother - whose baby's father killed himself, no less - would threaten to do the same. Un-freaking-believable.
-
This is salt in the wound.
-
"They were all I had left of my husband"?????
What about all the money he made making people depressed? A pile of dust and some dirty hair is not something to kill yourself over courtney. -
He's dead. Remember him through his band's music. That can't be stolen from you.
-
I'm a fan of Nirvana and Kurt Cobain, but I do not feel bad for Courtney. However I am saddened that the ashes were stolen.
-
Perhap's laying him to rest properly by throwing his ashes into the sea or some some beautiful forest would have prevented this. Keeping or carrying someone's ashes around like a souvenir is just wrong. When people die they are to be laid to rest.

No need to investigate. Just wait a few years, and eBay will point the thieves out.
-
i still don't believe he took his own life
three times the deadly dose of heroin and having the strength to shoot himself...also it was said someone used his credit card a couple of days after his death. -
Dasai, so true.
-
It's horrible how some people can literally steal your treasures from you. How can THEY go on living with themselves. I hope Courtney gets her man's ashes back.
-
shenanigans, she murdered him in the first place
-
So you're saying the Kurt Cobain ashes I just bid on on EBay might be stolen?
Better bid some more, those things are hott.
I've always one to let go of loved ones and scatter their ashes. I almost feel like he's in a better place not being in that pink teddy bear shaped bag.-

Ashes are ashes - she should be content with the memories she has of him... unless of course she's too high to remember...
-
BenDorries raises a good point - it's a strange to think of the ashes of someone as iconic as Kurt Cobain being stored in a pink teddy bear.
I feel for Courtney. She's an odd one and she can put her foot in it with some of her statements but I can understand her being upset by this. It's for her and their kid to decide what they do with the ashes and who has them.
On a lighter note, here's one of my favourite Nirvana moments. Their cover of Lead Belly's 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night' from their MTV Unplugged session in 1993. After he'd sang that song, the show's producer tried to get him to do an encore. Kurt said, 'I can't top that last song.' Yep, fair enough. -
thats disgusting - sure remember him through his music which was amazing but it is horrible to have something like that stolen from you! that is like digging up someones body and stealing it..!
screwed up minds.. -
kurt possessed such shimmering star quality that his life and work pour scorn on todays musician and their loose understanding of 'talent'. The more sh*te appears in the press due to that tabloid fodder he married, the more i get tired of hearing his name. But are these innocuous stories to his loyal fan-base?

Nevermind Courtney.

It doesn't matter who the victim of a crime is, no crime of this nature should happen to anyone no matter if you believe that the ashes hold significance or not. She believed they did and therefore belittling that aspect isn't justifiable just because you dislike her or find her to be a joke.
You don't' desecrate someone's dead loved ones, be it their grave site or their ashes or their good name. it's beyond rude.
I find it silly to have ashes of someone but that's my view and it won't be used to make someone feel less than just because they find it worth having. It's horrible someone would take that from her. Whoever did it couldn't possibly have a good reason for doing it. -
Is this for true? Cause if so it's bad news bears.
Also "she was horrified to discover them gone, along with thousands of pounds worth of clothes and jewellery." WTF?!-

Who cares, courtney love is trash anyway, no one would miss her if she offed herself. I'll offer a $0.25 reward for cobains ashes though so I can freshen up the cats litter box.

maybe Kurt was orchestrating his one last escape from her so his spirit can be liberated... just a thought. sorry Courtney, no offense.
-
Courtney is trying to get as much attention out of this "tragedy" as possible. I do pity her, but not to the point of suicide. His memory is engraved in the alternative rock industry as an example of music when you're in the mood to feel sorry for yourself. This should suffice for the memory of Kurt Cobaine's ashes.
-
I guess I missed something. This dude committed suicide, and that's what made him great ? What about the musicians who are toughing out here amongst the living ?

i wish people would leave there negative comments about kurt to themselves. and also, it pains me so to hear someone say that kurt committed suicide! if you are reading this, i beg of you to please go to two websites. first, www.justiceforkurt.com and then, www.cobaincase.com tom grant is the detective that courtney hired to track kurt down. when he realised that this was not possibly suicide, he told courtney that he could not work for her any longer but he would continue the investigation of this case. to this day, tom funds his search entirely out of his own pocket, in hopes that one day justice will be served! these two websites give you all of the facts and evidence to prove that kurt was murdered. there is also a case manual available for $46. the money goes to help fund this investigation, but if you do not wish to pay for it, it is now available by free download. this could all be the work of the dirty hands of courtney. who knows? this subject is so delicate and very dear to my heart. again, i ask each and everyone of you (and everyone that you know) to please give these sites the time of day. i promise you, that you will get something out of it! i promise! please check this out!

This week I've been doing a presentation on Nirvana and their impact on the world. It seems even though they are not together or all around anymore they are still making the news..

I still think that Love had him killed. The toxicology report released to the press in seattle said that the official cause of death was an overdose of heroin. There are still alot of questions that have to be answered in his death. I lived in seattle for a stretch and there are alot of like minded people. F her i hope it was someone that new Kurt well and is doing something proper with his ashes and not toting them along in a stupid pink teddy. Does anyone remember what a piece of shit Love really is.
-
I stand to be corrected.
