Democrat Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain 49%-44% among "likely" voters, the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows. A month ago, McCain had a 48%-47% advantage.
Obama's advantage narrows slightly among registered voters, to 47%-44%.
The results come from a national survey done over the weekend of 1,012 adults.

Go-Bama!

That is just until the people get to really compare the two. Then Obama will leave that stumble bum in the dust.

I think the Gallup poll obscures the true numbers who will be voting for Obama this November. They don't poll cell phone numbers, which leaves out anyone under 30 - overwhelmingly Obama voters, and also, they haven't accounted for the newly registered to vote this year - also overwhelmingly for Obama. I think it will be a landslide for Obama. The "mainstream" media just doesn't know it yet.
