What an important topic! So many young women need to know about skin cancer and this piece covered it in a serious way that didn't happen to be depressing or fear mongering.

Hey! Thanks for the email and great piece. My only concern is that this piece doesn't present much about the possibility of skin cancer developing beyond stage I. I have lost many friends to melanoma and I myself had a near-death scare just 1 year ago.

i actually like being pale. i fry like you wouldn't believe in the sun and i stay out of the sun like it's my job...i get so angry when i see girls who are super brown in the middle of december...it's just trashy...
