Madame Tussauds is defending its decision to include a wax likeness of Adolf Hitler at its new Berlin museum, arguing that it doesn't make any sense to ignore his role in German history.
In a statement, the museum said Hitler's rule "stands for an important, though also appalling, turning point in the development of modern Europe. To ignore Hitler's role in this era would allow a strange gap to develop in the German and Berlin history that we show from chancellor Otto von Bismarck to the present day."

People should be able to look him in the eye, and never forget what he did.
They should have one of Bush too.-

Agreed. Do not leave him out of history, just portray him as the psychopath that he was.

It appears that in Germany, mentioning Hitler is a big no-no in society.
I can agree with it. Is like talking about KKK in Alabama, saying that it was "part of history" - even though it does make people feel bad. -
Well if it's a wax statue it shouldn't be that hard to deface... Anyone got a blowtorch?
-
Yeah, we can turn it into a "Raiders of the lost ark" exhibit!

Revisionist history is a mocking fable. Keep it real, lest we repeat it. Unfortunately, human history is overrun with as many infamous villains as courageous heroes who cannot be ignored. Hitler, as rotten a bastard as he most certainly was, counts in human history and must be included. Ditto the KKK, American Slavery, the Holocaust, the Japanese Internment, et cetera, et cetera! We all count in history!
