Well, here it is folks. A company has finally gone and built the controversial hydrogen hybrid system (or hydrogen injection, or Water4Gas or HHO system – choose your poison) into what appears to be a true production car. Not only that, the car looks, well, stunning… to put it mildly.
Ronn Motors of Austin, Texas, yesterday unveiled what they’re calling “the key to a new generation of “green cars.” The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Ronn Maxwell, had this to say about it: “What we are revealing today is an innovation in the automotive industry and demonstrates American ingenuity at a time of real need. We’re designing and building cars with performance components and unique styling with the objective of making the new environmentally friendly vehicle stand out with never before seen style and approximately 40 mpg plus efficiency.”
“Move over Bugatti, Lamborghini and Saleen, the Ronn Motors Scorpion is a supercar that will scoot 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and achieve 40 mpg, too.”

How about one for the people who need to save a little gas money. Awesome Ronn Motors, You've helped build something that about 10% of us will be able to afford.

I agree that this car is going to be pricey. Though the technology is what's important for me.
Many people have called the water4gas and HHO systems a sham. Saying they don't work. I have personally seen conversion cars. Or rather people that have turned their cars into hybrids. Some are getting over 70MPG now on various vehicle brands.
There are links in the article to conversion kits too, if you are looking to get more MPG out of your car.
Furthermore this article illustrates that a hybrid car can be sexy lookin'. I think one of the reasons why many people haven't bought a hybrid car is due to the aesthetics. Which if you ask me is foolish. But soon, these designs will hopefully become more mainstream and it will be one less excuse.-

I'm with you YMM. New technology and new ideas are ALWAYS expensive up front. Give it time, and when the laws are changed that all cars MUST be AT LEAST a hybrid, you'll see a massive drop in price.
We don't have the political will yet, but give it time.-

Need to get it featured on Top Gear as it is a really beautiful looking car and the benefits are enormous. Just hope it drives as good as it looks

Now thats a car, stunning, am slightly surprised not to see a model draped seductively over the hood but maybe they thought it would be unfair to the model with such a beautiful car.

There are more pictures at the designer's (my) website:

The reason there is not a model draped seductively over the hood is I couldn't find one hot enough; they were just interrupting the beauty of the design.-

My barber who is in his seventies says that the technology to extend MPG in existing cars has been around since the fifties, but the patents were bought up by the oil companies.
He told me how it was done though. You heat up the gasoline to a vapor so that you use less gas in the combustion process. He said it is very simple. He also said that injecting water vapor into the mix gives you a bigger bang and increases horsepower. -
jeffreyak is RIGHT.
Don't be fooled by a pretty icon (ymm or the car!)guys.
This is the problem with new technology.
Whatever ymm drives currently must not be sexy enough to consider saving money. What I drive is sexy and I save lots of money with my conversion (wwwdotextendmpgdotcom). We all know the coming trends and we can all take advantage of that now for little costs and be miles and dollars ahead NOW. (Nice pic ymm....so is yours:) -
Oh MY...Ymm! you say that...your icon is not YOU? "This is not me. This is Nicole Lenz. One of the most attractive beings on the planet."
Thank goodness! But is that "being" human? Looks alien to me! lol.
