John Mayer Says Guitar Hero Is For Wannabes!

Yes, John Mayer, you play an awesome guitar…we all know that. But, John feels that Guitar Hero is a cheap comparison to the real thing.

He tells Rolling Stone: “Guitar Hero was devised to bring the guitar-playing experience to the masses without them having to put anything into it.

“And having done both, there’s nothing like really playing guitar. I mean, what would you rather drive, a Ferrari or one of those amusement-park cars on a track?”

I was just talking about this today to someone…I thought Guitar Hero would be a great way to get started playing guitar to learn the coordination. I guess I won’t be going to John for my guitar lessons!

  • I completely agree with you, its a bridge. I read an article somewhere about how many people starting playing guitar because of Rock Band and Guitar hero.
