I've been to Montara, about 25 miles south of San Francisco, hundreds of times to admire the beautiful tidepool and the anemones, starfish, barnacles, and all sorts of sea creatures. I have always overlooked the puny lighthouse that stands guard over the ocean and the tidepool because of its insignificant size. Little did I know.
