This is a great informational wiki page on what you and I are doing right now! (We are "Currenting"!!! My word for that)

Probably one of the best things to happen on the Internet, Current offers us the opportunity to bring to the surface what is happening in our world today. Or, how we perceive what is happening in our world. What we perceive may be slightly more or less what others think. But thats the great thing about the freedom given to us....freedom of the press, freedom of expressing ideas whether it be through music, writing or art or whatever.

Current has empowered us. They've enabled us to be more powerful in what is happening. Can we make a difference with our little writings and feelings and reports? You bet your sweet bippy you can! Every little thing we do becomes bigger. Just like the butterfly effect states, in my words:

'A butterfly's wings flaps ever so gently and move the air around it to fly. That gentle push of air mixes with other currents of air which becomes bigger with each other current it meets. In the end that little flap of a wing has made a slight change that was part of a bigger change. If it weren't for that little flap of a wing here and there, the currents would be changed.'

Here at Current, we are all changing the currents.

Thank you Current. Thank you Al Gore! Thank you to all the Currenters!

  • As someone who has been here from the beginning I agree with you completely. Current is now the only site on the Internet I post information and news on. Frankly, I think it leaves other sites in the dust ( though there are things that need improving, but that is with any site on the Internet where the public at large has access.) This site does empower you and make you feel that finally people will see the important information you have been trying to get out on other sites where alliances work against you.

To be able to post about the global water crisis which gets no coverage on the MSM and have it potentially go into 51 million homes is fantastic because it is information that needs to be seen and heard in order to then empower others to take action.

This is why I get annoyed when I see people posting crap from FOX News and other cable news networks. This is a cable news network and we should be making our own news.

So yes I truly appreciate being able to continue to post about the environment, particularly water issues, coal, nuclear and other important topics people need to know about to use it to take action to make change. I firmly believe no one politician regardless of who they are is going to do that. We must now take it into our own hands to push for that change and make it.

Having a place, an agora if you will to discuss and debate honestly and with truth hopefully without all the childish pettiness of other venues is not only refreshing but liberating, and hopefully, effective.

So again I agree, thank you Mr. Gore (<3 ) and Mr Hyatt, and to those who follow the true spirit of what Current is all about.

Excellent World Peace TV . . . although some topics are more important than others, your one statement says it all. Not every post of interest to one person is not necessarily of interest to others; and some topics are just for fun - nothing negative about that - freedom of speech and everyone welcome.

  • I agree with Janforgore, Current is a brilliant site for blogging. I found out about it last year but never thought about actually contributing. It wasn't until I seeing crazy headlines on the home page.

I don't agree with all the global warming stuff, but at least I can post an opposing view without being censored like on some sights.

have been delivering some great stuff
    infomania and campaign update too

though the web site and 90% of its content in the past month, regardless of the important news, it all started to feel once again somewhat stagnant, not irrelevant, but stagnant

the idea of current is still strong, kudos to that, kudos all around, tokens of appreciation make ppl feel good, right?

  • I love Current. It's where I go to for my news now. It's nice to not only get the real news, but also be able to discuss it.
