Blackwater's private CIA

This past September, the secretive mercenary company Blackwater USA found its name splashed across front pages throughout the world after the company's shooters gunned down seventeen Iraqi civilians in Baghdad's Nisour Square. But by early 2008, Blackwater had largely receded from the headlines save for the occasional blip on the media radar sparked by Congressman Henry Waxman's ongoing investigations into its activities. Its forces remained deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and business continued to pour in. In the two weeks directly following Nisour Square, Blackwater signed more than $144 million in contracts with the State Department for "protective services" in Iraq and Afghanistan alone and, over the following weeks and months, won millions more in contracts with other federal entities like the Coast Guard, the Navy and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

  • As well-paid minions for an illegal war, these criminals remain unpunished and continue to suck up big government contracts in Iraq. Now they are expanding to offer their 'outlaw' services to the Fortune 500.

The sad part is Blackwater is only one of about twelve defence contractors being used right now.

I don't think you will see that on the Media Matrix.

  • Patriots kill for their belief in their country. Assassins kill for money. What are we supporting by paying our taxes? These are steriod pumped freaks that cannot hold a job in a civilized world. But of course I am making the assumption that the world is civilized. Americans should not forget the atrocities of the last mercenaries on American soil.
The Hessian (German) soldiers paid to terrify American Patriots of the Revolutionary War. They were hated and despised to a much greater degree than the British soldiers, because they had no dog in the fight, they were just paid killers. Why should we expect other countries to accept what our own ancestors hated!

  • blackwaterfacts.com is a pack of lies to defend these coldblooded murderers.

  • america will be at "war" for the unforeseeable future - i'd rather have blackwater mercenaries dying than our troops - i hope blackwater , and every other contractor, receives as much funding as necessary to eventually render the deployment of our troops unnecessary . i look forward to the day when only the air force is needed to bomb targets , and blackwater takes care of the rest - my only reservation , given this scenario , is what to do with the rest of our troops who are sitting around while blackwater is having all the fun .

  • Well Malathion, I am almost at a loss for words, an unusal development for me. But here goes, lives are lives, our lives, mercenary lives, and "enemy", lives. Do you think that God stands in a cafeteria line and picks the lives he wants? When send young men to their death in an unjust cause, we commit a mortal sin, that stains the conscience of this nation. I am 57 years old and will not condone the behavior, lies, and mis-information fostered on the public as in the Vietnam Conflict. This is a war of economics, pure and simple, unfortunately the Muslim extremists, failed to realize how excited our military/industrial complex was to engage in war, making money, from the blood of our youth.

  • If they are not held to the same standards as our millitary then they should not be there.

    But

When our own troops are told to leave drop weapons to cover up civilian murders by their commanders and being instructed by Blackwater troops on who and where to shoot than everything is just Fuck'n wrong and they are probably confused as Hell..

It's no wonder thy're commiting suicide at a rate of 18 a week and the attemps reach over 300 a month.

The media will not cover that or the protesters that are trying to get them back home.

This war is just as bad as Vietnam if not worse when it come to the Vets.

It is so sad and sickening.

  • I forgot a few more comments. How many Congressman, Senators, Governors, Lt. Governors, Presidents, Vice Presidents, CEO's, CFO's, and other various "BIG SHOT", personalities have sacrificed their children on this altar! I suspect not many. Read the names of the casualities. Do you see any recent, Cabots, Lodges, Roosevelts, Kennedys, Bushes, Gates, Dells, Obamas, Gores, Clintons, etc., etc., etc., you get the message. The children of the poor have been cannon fodder, protecting the interests of the rich for a long, long, time. The rich have a media empire designed to inflame patriotic interests, thus convincing us of the righteousness of sending our children to their deaths. Their children never go, they get commissions, high ranking jobs, protection from warfare. Of course the same political pukes that send the poor to war are happy to spend our tax dollars to send other fools(Blackwater) to their deaths. I will send my children to war when the no good souless ba****ds in Congress send their children to fight. Then we will know that the war is justified.

  • exactly - let the blackwater "fools" fight - save our "youth" - it's more cost effective huh ?
thing is , there are , for whatever reasons , "extremists" in this world , and they don't like us or anyone else who isn't one of them , and they won't just magically vanish - they must be removed by someone , somehow , and the way i see it god has chosen the US for this task , and i blame god for cursing us with this mission - i blame god for Bush - i blame god for "terrorists" - and i both curse god and petition him to let me understand his mysterious ways - and while i'm waiting for god to clarify things , i'm more than willing to pay blackwater whatever it wants if only i can avoid having to send my boys off to die in a conflict neither my boys , nor me , really understand .
