Antarctic base gets thousands of condoms before darkness falls.

It's approaching winter at the McMurdo station. Shipments during the winter are limited to the 125 scientists living at the station. A box of 16,500 condoms will help keep them warm this season. The condoms will be given for free, so as to avoid the discomfort of having to buy prophylactics in such a small community.
