"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." These, of course, are the immortal words of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and they have never rang so true or been more appropriate than they are at this auspicious juncture in time.
The article asks - Behind the Scenes: Is Barack Obama black or biracial? In normal discourse it's usually not wise to answer a question with another question but in this case the best answer is - does it really matter? Race, racism and historical significance have been the topic of conversation for everyone but the presumptive nominee himself. Does that not speak for itself?
An equation in the article shows white + black = black. So it is across the world. In S. Africa one is considered black if one or your grandparents was/is black. I contend white + black = non white and I reiterate, does it really matter? The irony here is eventually it will work itself out genetically, so no matter where you stand on this particular subject - it truly doesn't matter.
