A cappella has come a long way in the last one hundred years, evolving from glee clubs into a tradition that is hugely popular, considerably profitable, and much publicized. There are more than 1,200 collegiate a cappella groups in the United States alone.

This is a behind-the-scenes look at the bizarre, inspiring, and hilarious world of competitive collegiate a cappella through the eyes of Divisi, the all girls acapella group from the University of Oregon. Divisi will be competing in the semi-finals of the International Championship of Collegiate Acapella. Can they live up to their legacy?

  • I feel your pain. For Indiana Choral State finals, our small town choir ALWAYS gets second to a snobby boring choir where the school is twice as big as ours, even though we are always the crowd favorite.
These girls look like they know how to have fun and the choirs that win these can't take away anyone else's awesome performance.

  • I love a cappella singing and being a singer myself I can really appreciate the inner joy a seven part harmonies as my seven siblings are not strangers too the partakings of creating those sound moving sounds.

  • this is a great pod. i love the fact that these acappella groups acheive a sort of celbrity status at there colleges. it also seems like a team sport the way they sing and dance together.
