Iran's defense minister was quoted on Tuesday as warning Israel of a "very painful" response if it launched a military strike over the Islamic Republic's disputed nuclear program. On Friday, Israeli Transport Minister Shaul Mofaz told an Israeli newspaper an attack on Iran looked "unavoidable" given the apparent failure of United Nations sanctions to deny Tehran technology with bomb-making potential."Our armed forces are at the height of their readiness and if anyone should want to undertake such a foolish job the response would be very painful," the state Iran daily quoted Iranian Defence Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar as saying.

Obama cannot change the situation in Israel unless the Israel lobbyist and congress changes its position on Israel. we have laws that protect Israel and delegate how much money we give to Israel .so congress will just veto any and all of obamas efforts to change anything .Also he recently became pro Israeli to so nothings going to change with his administration. Good news though the European countries have stepped up to the plate and are now actively working to resolve this.

Someone needs to stop Israel from from saying and acting so foolishly. They sit there with over 200 nuclear weapons. And all their reps act like BUSH clones. Its funny how the US supports them so much yet all our actual interests in the region are not support at all by the 'alliance' with Israel. I hope when Obama wins the presidency he drops atleast 60% if not 100% of the non-strategic, support given to people who are the greatest human right violators on the planet today (arguably). The UN has continually raised resolutions against Israel, which are continually vetoed by the US. Stop breast feeding on America Zionists.
