Impeach Bush, Wexler says

We've got two! Keep the heat on your local representatives. The press will continue to say "Yawn", while the people say "Yay!"

It is our patriotic duty to call our representatives and remind them that they represent the passionate views of their constituents, not the passive detachment of the Beltway media. It is not a game, this is about our CONSTITUTION and the RULE OF LAW. It is time to call for an immediate halt to the actions of our "unitary exectutive" and remind Congress that it has an obligation to defend us against the dangers of tyranny of a powerful few (Ahem unitary executive). It is, after all, the whole reason they exist.

I don't care what the leadership says, I don't care what the pundits say, the people WILL support Impeachment! As the crimes unfold, this country will finally have a full and honest appraisal of the failures of our entire government and the fourth estate.

Impeachment, like democracy, is not the end, it is the means to protect our freedom. Call your representative today and DEMAND they stand up and assert themselves as a co-equal branch of government (and don't forget to tell everyone you know that you did so and urge them to do the same). We cannot sit this out any longer. The establishment press simply does not care.

  • I'm not very happy about Nader's continual run for the presidency, but there's no arguing with the man's logic in support of this action.

  • Charge Bush with war crimes for torture while you are at it. Impeachment is being polite.

  • Wexler is a great man to have on this job. Super smart, honest, and a real fighter. It's going to start to roll now. Make those calls, tell your friends to make those calls. This has to be done or we are going to be in so deep, we will never get out.
  • I love Robert Wexler, and I'm proud to have him serve me!

  • Heroes in government

Congressman Wexler, Senator Feingold, Congressman Kucinich, Senator Byrd, and several others.

We need to support these heroes and anyone who opposes the bush/cheney agenda!

    Villians in government

Senator Sessions, Senator Cornyn, Congressman Issa, Senator Kyl, Congressman Burgess, and too many others.

The victims of these villians are all Americans and these sinister beings need to be brought to justice for their aiding in the crimes of bush/cheney.

  • It is pretty sad day for the Democrats when after all this administration has done, the deception, manipulation, and propaganda. Nancy Pelosi publicly stands beside them and says she will not endorse such an appropriate course of action.

We will remember this Nancy when your job is up.
    prof_deviant
  • Well, if she refuses to do the work the American majority ask of her, we need to replace her with someone who will. Right now!

This petition is circulating to have her immediately removed, and hopefully some of you will sign it and pass it around?

Pelosi can be replaced with someone who will bring the Articles of Impeachment to the floor of the House of Representatives Immediately!

    Please sign this petition.

  • Finally, lets hope the media doesnt attack the dems on this, or else it will hurt the dems in the election and hurt us even more if some republicans win.

  • We need more men like him governing our country!

  • Great. Seven months left in office and people are just now jumping on the "impeach" bandwagon.

If Congress had any b@lls, this would have been happening two years ago when it would have meant something other then trying to win votes back home. Bush IS going to be out of office, and the US Constitution will be the medium of change.

Congress might want to do what the people are asking them to do. Run the country. That's an approach to re-election, I for one, would find refreshing.

How 'bout those gas prices, guys?

  • I Love You Ralph Nader! Thanks for the link beedee. Just to reiterate what Ralph said, Call John Conyers (202) 225-5126 AND Nancy Pelosi (202) 225-4965. THANKS!

  • are you CRAZY impeach cheney first. We certainly do no need that monkey brained fascist ------ (insert unprintable adjective of your choice here) starting a global war the second he is in charge.

  • Dead animals. Dead people. Dead bank accounts. Dead housing market. Dead Dollar.

NONE of which will rise should an impeachment even happen. None will still rise should he be charged with these retarded outreach accusations.

The only reason people would be for impeachment is the same reason someone goes and punches a man in the mouth for saying something they don't like.

    Hate & anger.

Being controlled by either makes you just as bad as the person you're pointing the finger at.

Truth and justice this is not. This will only cause more problems and we already have enough.
    J_Jammer
  • You all are so self-righteous.

You are not concerned for the rule of law.

The rule of law says innocent until proven guilty.

You have already found him guilty without trial. Don't talk to me about rule of law.
    karrde
  • karrde, impeachment IS the trial.

If Bush has nothing to hide, then he should welcome the extra close scrutiny.

Isn't that what the god-king, er, I mean President constantly tells his servants, er, people in regards to the wiretapping?

"If you ain't guilty, hee hee, than ya'll got's nuthing to worry about," say Pres. Bush with his trademark sniker and giggle.

Well if George didn't break any laws then I guess he's got nothing to worry about.

But if he thinks he's innocent why does he block all Congressional subpoenas, why does he refuse to let people testify, why does he refuse to simply tell us who was on the Energy Task Force, why does he fire up the goddamn shredder every time it looks like we're going to ask him for a simple piece of paper?

C'mon. This sumbitch is guiltier than Nixon ever was.

  • I remember how late the call to impeach Bill came in, and look where he is now. Almost made it back to the white house!!

  • Between the heating up of impeachment charges, war with Iran, the wars already started, and the elections put on your seat belts for the craziest 6-8 months of politics ever!!!

    ..psh..
    DJSoundBored
  • well, this would have been helpful, what, like 7 years ago? its to little to late. the political reallignment is coming in Janurary, we need to focus on undoing the damage and forging a better future. lets learn from this stupidity and never EVER let something this bad go on for this long again. consider it a lesson learned. although i would have a permanent grin to see GWB rot in gitmo.....
    humanpasta
  • Okay, let's assume that one or more articles of impeachment are passed by the House and move forward to the Senate. Is this not the greatest gift that Democrats can possibly give to John McCain? The opportunity to formally, in the most direct way possible, separate himself from President Bush by voting to impeach him?
    edmubnd
  • McCain would look like a political opportunist and a flip-flopper if he voted to impeach.

For years he's been saying Bush is innocent (not to mention the world's most brilliant man!), so how would it look if he reversed course and voted to impeach?

And if he stays the course (so to speak) and votes against impeachment he'll solidify himself as a Bush-lapdog running for a 3rd Bush term.

There's really no way McCain can vote on the impeachment issue and look good.
    crob80227
  • Yeah, you're probably right. It would be pretty transparent to voters (or, if not, the Obama team could pretty easily connect the dots for everyone). His "aye" vote would also further alienate him from Bush's remaining Republican supporters.

So, by all means, let the proceedings begin ...
    edmubnd
  • There is no way I am going to step aside on the push to impeach just because a fewpeople in the media want to make you believe it's a waste of time. If we let these people get away with what they have done, then the people of this voteing generation are a disgrace to themselves, their children and the rest of the world. I would like to see Wexler or Conyers or Pelosi stand up before the congress and recite the inscription on the Jefferson Memorial on live TV nationwide and call for a vote. A true PATRIOTIC AMERICAN puts the constitution and rule of law well above party politics. BUSH/CHENEY INMATES 08!! by the way over 1 million signatures at impeachbush.org That doesn't sound like a loseing battle to me.
    victimofcoal
  • IF YOU IMPEACH BUSH WOULDN'T CHENEY BE PRESIDENT?
    RudyRudell
  • By the way, do you think Bush read Kucinich’s list of impeachment articles and just thought to himself “no, no, no, maybe, no, no, got me there, no, probably, no, no, I guess, no, no, man this guy did his homework, no, no, yeah, no, no, no, …”
    edmubnd
  • How would Congress get past Pelosi who says, "Impeachment is off the table" ?
    rasting
  • I watched Kucinich on C-SPAN reading the 35-articles of impeachment.

    LET'S DO THIS THING!

Pelosi ... go find yer spine woman!

  • The law applies to the Executive Branch of our government. High crimes have been committed by some in the Administration. The evidence has been well publicized. The outing of Valery Plame, misleading the American Public in making the case for war, war profiteering, conspiracy, not to mentioned the unprecidented use of signing statements to circumvent the law. The list goes on... The trial is called IMPEACHMENT. The CONSTITUTION demands it and it is the sworn duty of every member of Congress to uphold and defend the CONSTITUTION. It is the document and the laws, rights and responsibilities that it (the constitution) stands for that have made this country great. Make our country great again, RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION AND THE RULE OF LAW (FOR ALL).
