Election reform... Let's make every vote count.

Four times in our history, (most recently in 2000) the Electoral College has sent a second-place candidate to the White House. This almost happened again in 2004 and some pollsters are already predicting it could happen again in 2008.

    • This is extremely important. The Supreme Court violated the Constitution in the Bush vs. Gore 2000 decision. The American People cannot let this pass. We must keep on pushing for election reform even after this election in November. Republican presidents have stacked our Supreme Court with right wing "activist" judges.

    • You really think someone other than the one the people voted for could become president?!?!?!?
This is part of what I've been saying all along - Obama is not a shoe-in, even if he gets 6 out of every 10 votes cast. There's a lot of things at play these days, especially since it seems the republican party has hijacked our country and ripped it off to the bones. We're in trouble my friends.
Big money and their media are now in full control.

If it were the year 2004 you'd be right on the money, but there's a few things different now, the major one being that the dems control the house and the senate. Liberal politics are growing more popular, Obama is the most charismatic Democrat in a decade, and McCain regularly draws fire from his own side. Even with the bullsh*t senate and house and whatnot included, the odds are looking good.

Dmitri, I'm hoping you're correct. McCain has drawn much criticism from the right ... he's about as charismatic as a dingleberry. That bodes well for Obama, who exudes charisma, and who is (IMO) the most eloquent speaker running for POTUS in my lifetime.

Still, I'm leery of the corrupt (

Election reform is tantatamount to fair elections. Period.
