Thats pretty funny.I think sometimes someone needs to do things that are just off the wall to answer questions and stir up a little trouble.

Obviously you people have never been to Portland. This is a very diverse city and we are certainly not close minded. We are the leaders in the medical marijuana movement, Green living, Breweries, art and agriculture, etc. Maybe you should pay a little visit here before you start calling us close minded and assume we are all WHITE!

And by the way, this picture was taken in Corvallis; OSU. I am sure there are plenty of "black" people in that city!

This is funny, we need it at our farmer's market here in my redneck county. I honestly almost never see "black" or Asian people here, just Caucasians and Mexican immigrant workers.

I live in Portland.. and you know as well as I do, as black or white each of us may be. Diversity is an old old wooden ship in Multnomah County. As in... the only diversity is the different types of white people we have. There might be a lot of whites here, but they fit into a lot of different categories. Anyway. You know as well as anyone else knows, the only place to find a heavily populated area of African Americans is North East Portland. But it's like that in so many other cities across America. I'm guessing it's all time we stop the segregation and meet eachother... color, white, neutral, flaming neon green.. whatever.

I would still say that Portland is diverse. We are a smaller city which is why most people prefer to think otherwise. And if you live here you shouldn't be surprised that the majority live in North Portland, NE Portland, SE Portland, and Gresham. But think about how expensive it is to live in Lake Oswego, West Linn, Beaverton, and Tigard. It is almost a requirement to have a Master's or play for the Blazers if you live in those towns. I grew up in N Portland and happen to know of many areas that are populated Romanians, Russians, Hispanics and Asians.

It is an incorrect statement that Portland is not a diverse city. Go to Wyoming, that state is lacking some diversity!

This should be turned into a national campaign paying special attention to the deep south (with beefed up security, of course).
