John McCain and Barack Obama take their rhetoric to Ellen Degeneres and The View, appeal to viewers of Army Wives and garner supporters like Heidi Montag.

so true, so true. but has it ever really been any better. every year they'll concentrate on one or two groups, claiming that the election is in their hands. whatever, women this year, next time it'll be hispanics, then gays and lesbians, it's always the same.

Yeah, there's a trend in these waves. Hey, an idea for a new segment: Birth Control Pills. Mainly on having 4 periods a year, combating various physical maladies that accompany it, and of-course Midol commercials. PLEASE make it happen!!!!

McCain's daughter listening to Spoon is the perfect debunker to the freshman-year theory that you can tell if a person is cool by their music. That's not to say it's not a smart tactic.
Can I say I'm a fan and not sound like nerd? These are the funniest segments I've seen in a while. My husband and I have made everyone who's come into our house watch the yogurt episode. You're awesome!

am i the only one who doesn't care anymore and just wants to vote and get it over with. its not that i don't care about politics, it's that i can't stand the bullshit that's constantly shoved down our throats the year leading to a new election by party x and y.
in the great words of matt and trey, you are always going to have to choose between a turd sandwich and a douche bag, but the important thing is that you have to pick one of them and vote
-
I found it funny that both candidates used Army Wives to relate to women.

I voted for Hillary and I am from Pennsylvania...
But...
The next time I hear some feminist screaming her head off about whatever,...I'm going to turn to her and say:
You had your shot for a woman president and you blew it to smithereens--kindly sit down and shut up!
Of course, knowing what some of these women are like I expect that they will still keep whining!:)
Having said that, I do believe that Hillary would have made a great president but let me turn it around and say this to Obama supporters:
I think a black American as President would be good too...
Just not this one...
Touche!

Target: Men! This article talks about the 10 TV ads most offensive to men. And duh, they're targeted at women. New episode?
Target: Women: Target: Men

hehe I was never planning on voting for any of them to begin with. My vote goes to a third party candidate.
And on a side note, I've never even heard of "Army Wives." Life without cable television is so worth it.
-
So now that McCain's got a woman as his VP, things will *really* get interesting.
-
well called!
McCain did indeed chose a woman no one has heard about for VP, but her inexperience has me worried. -
Palin's fully functional fallopian tubes don't mean a thing when she's on board with McCain's solidly anti-woman platform. That's not just on the pro-lifer front with the threatening to overturn Roe vs. Wade. There are all the anti-fair pay, anti-women's health care, anti-contraception stances he's taken in his voting history that make him a consistent opponent to women's rights. Saying that the nomination of uber-conservative -Palin- is a genuine step forward for women is just so backwards it makes my head spin. If the 2008 presidential election were A Ridiculous Teen Movie, Palin would be the head cheerleader who throws on a Science Bowl shirt and runs for president of the Chem Club with the intent of funneling their funds into the Athletics department so her dreamy quarterback boyfriend can play on a bigger field next semester. She may be wearing the uniform, but that doesn't mean she's really on the team. (......no, it's not a perfect analogy.)
Don't get me wrong, McCain's vile on ALL fronts, but the potential VP's vagina seems to be drawing attention to the sensitive, lady-luvvin' side of the warmonger, and that's just so, so wrong.
-
Oh, snap, Haskins! You called it!
-
