  • Dutch statisticians have too much time on their hands.

  • "..fewer accidents and reports of fire and theft occur when the 13th of the month falls on a Friday than on other Fridays."

Is that because everyone's hiding under a bed, scared that something bad might happen...

  • The movies would have you believe differently.

"There's a psycho maniac chasing us with a machete."

    "Welcome to New York."

  • Maybe we've been getting it all wrong and Friday the 13th is actually a lucky day.

  • Dutch statisticians need to go outside and play. Of all the wonders that statistics can do for mankind, the Dutch like to use them for this.

    How unfortunate!

  • Well IF this is true then why did the belief of Friday the 13th being an UN-lucky day come about?

Or is it just that things are better now, so there's less things that are considered unlucky that can occur?

  • Apparently Tupac died on Friday 13th so definitely not his luckiest day. Um, obviously.

  • I've never bought the whole Friday the 13th as unlucky bit anyway. It's Friday, that must be something good!

  • It's still a bunch of superstitious garbage if you ask me.

  • Unfortunately, billions of dollars are lost every friday the 13th because a massive amount of people don't leave there homes. (no shopping, no working, etc.)

  • Good. I'd like to live on the 13th floor then, if there is one.
