In the name of science, these cows have had a hole cut straight into their stomachs so that scientists can learn about how they digest different food types. They're called fistulas apparently, and to feed a cow through one is considered as one of the worst jobs in science. All depends who you talk to really since that kid seems to be having a whale of a time!

Can't they use x-ray or ultrasound to find this stuff out? Lame ,poor cows.You would think technology advance so much as to avoid a hole being cut out of an animal.Noone think of the animals vanity and thoughts.
