MSNBC poll on Bush impeachment: 89% in favor

Wow!

This story broke on Monday, June 9, 2008. No major news media source carried the story on the front page. NPR reported it on Talk of the Nation, but I doubt they continued to report the reaction, the furthering media blackout, or the details of the 35 Articles of Impeachment (I wouldn't know because I don't listen to NPR since their control was taken from the public's hands long ago). Everyone in America deserves to know of this legislation, and the two HRS before it (TO IMPEACH CHENEY) which have barely reported on and have languished in committee for about 7 months.

THE MEDIA IS NOT BRINGING YOU THE TRUTH.

  • ...It's happening!
  • 1: I think he and is staff are as guilty as sin.

2: It is the system stupid! Yes, there is more than enough evidence to "impeach". He should be tried and if Congress were stupid enough to find him innocent then that is just the way it is.

3: The American people ( and Congress too) don't understand the system and won't do it.

4: And finally, as much as I like the results Internet polls just don't mean a damned thing.

  • He's taken away our rights and yet he's still in office. Can someone explain that to me?

  • Someone tell Pelosi. He should have never been put in office in the first place. He steals the presidency then he lies to the people and has the blood of many innocent people on his hands, he disregards the American people and thier laws and constitution, abondons the geneva convention, tramples on human rights, steals America blind and these people say "Iimpeachment is off the table" What the F____ is going on America. No wonder people don't trust politicans. Impeach him and then Jail him and his Cabinet past and present.

  • Here's hoping. But then again will Dick C. be any consolation to the ever present terseness...lack of trust in this administration when he takes stead...? I don't know. But something is gonna' give; it's 2008, and it's about time people wake (the hell) up and smell the gasoline, and the sample the iron motif in the air...ozone anyone? But then again: what do I know?

  • Unfortunately it's not OUR votes or OUR support for impeachment that will make it happen. It's Nancy Pelosi, and she has categorically refused to allow any kind of move towards impeachment to take place as long as she is House Speaker and Bush Junior is in the White House.

  • that would be an Obstruction of Justice
  • Okay, so Pelosi is guilty of obstruction. Fine, get the Senate to investigate the Speaker and...

Oh, wait, that's Harry Reid's side of the building... and he's siding with Pelosi.

Well I guess you first have to impeach and dismiss Reid, then impeach and dismiss Pelosi, THEN get articles of Impeachment brought up, discussed, voted upon, and then have the Senate try Bush to vote for his removal from office... and hopefully you can do it all BEFORE January 20th, when the man will be walking out of the White House with a Texas-sized cow flop-eating grin on his face knowing he got away with the biggest coup in American history.

  • We need this as a people. This could be the event which not only "unifies the Democrats" but unifies the nation.

And what foreign nation doesn't hate Bush?

Couldn't this be the event that the world has been waiting for?
  • Polls = BS.

Anyone can get a Poll that says what they want it to say.

What matters is how the question was asked not how it was presented.

People take the polls that favor their thinking and that's about it. Bias all the way not informative unless every single American was asked.

  • "In Germany, America is no longer seen as a country of individual liberty, as a reliable ally, and definitely not as a model. There are a large number of justified accusations leveled at Bush's policies. They include dangerous naivete, lies, and the sustained infringement of human rights."

  • This would improve so many world relations.
  • Nancy Pelosi should be asked to resign as Speaker of the House. We should insist on it right now, today. Why should we allow her to stand in the way of Democracy? She won't listen to the people. She is just an employee after all. Tell her to act, or get out of the way, because justice wants through.
  • I'm shocked, I didn't think keith olberman could spit the d__k out of his mouth long enough to cast all of those votes.

MSNBC has left wing moonbats flocking to it's site to vote for anything anti-Bush and you morons call this news, LOL!!!
  • The elected officials that say they are representing the people can be more transparent about this issue.

I realize the transparency almost precludes some kind of a democratic news media, which isn't happening. You can count on the fingers of one hand, the number of people who control all our media. Transparency is going to be a challenge.

  • Democratic news media is happening, and you're looking at it
  • I love the poll question: "No, He has done nothing wrong....". LMAO. Right. What imbecile could possible believe that this conservative psychopathic administration has helped the United States in any way. Are they completely oblivious?!!

  • We, the US citizens, owe it ourselves and the rest of the world to prove that we are not going to let GWB and his brood get away with all they have done by trying them for felonius crimes against humanity and sending them to prison. We need to keep pressure on the folks on "The Hill" to act on what they already know is true.
    Time is running out.

  • oh, come on. let's not impeach so close to the end of the term. it's just not worth it.

  • this is an investigation that was loooooong overdue, if it doesn't happen now, it will happen later. Why wait?

    The march towards investigation begins
  • Granted this system of polling isn't exactly the most accurate system in the world but polling generally isn't anyways.

This is a good step in the right direction. If the population even thinks that this could be a possiblility and they want it enough then they will contact their Representatives. That's all it will take.

I think we'll start hearing more of this after Scott McClelen testifies on June 20 and exactly what he says.

Call or e-mail your representatives and have your friends and family do it too.

There are many people who had their reputation raked over the coals during this administration and I'm sure they have a lot to say.

  • You people are retarted.

  • Afox, Shall we wait until they bomb Iran? It is very well worth it. It is how we stop the insanity, and prevent it from happening again. Make those calls today, and make them tomorrow!
  • Last time I checked, the votes of the congressman were to represent to opinions of the American people. If we can just get impeachment out in the open, theoretically, 89% of congressman will vote dubya right out of Washington.

  • And make sure you impeach Cheney! He would be next in line and that would be a real disaster!

  • BWAHAHAHA!!!!!! Seems Dennis Kucinich isn't so far out on a limb as ppl like to claim, eh...

Hope Congress is listening -- or if not this Congress, the next one. Maybe he should be put on trial after leaving office, so we wouldn't have to worry about the spectre of Cheney becoming president. Meanwhile, McCain has said he'd welcome Cheney into his future Cabinet [irol]
