"Barack Obama's campaign envisions a path to the presidency that could include Virginia, Georgia and several Rocky Mountain states, but not necessarily the pair of battlegrounds that decided the last two elections — Florida and Ohio.
In a private pitch late last week to donors and former supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe outlined several alternatives to reaching the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House that runs counter to the conventional wisdom of recent elections."
So what do you think? Is this a defense against possible voting fraud, or simply neglecting two powerhouse states? Ladies and gentlemen, start your comments...

Obama is brave to keep telling Florida that he doesn't need them, or Ohio. He just can't stop being an elitest can he? He doesn't need Hillary suporters votes, now he doesn't need Florida or Ohio at all. Wow, does he need anyone's votes or can he just snap his fingers and make himself president?

whaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Hilary did not win! I hate everyone!! I dont trust black people!!!............. Jesus! Get over it already! LMAO

Wow hombre76, that was such an intelligent remark. I am stunned. Maybe you should read Obama's book and actually research his voting record, and then look at his policy proposals instead of being a sheep following all the rest off the side of a mountain. I have little use for stupidity, that is what I hate, not people. It is not black people I do not trust, it is Barack Obama and his wife. People are guilty by association and who one chooses to associate themselves with is telling about one's own attitudes.

What cowards and how ridiculous. You know, even last night I heard Al Gore (who I am disappointed in for becoming a "politician" again) say as he spoke that he above anyone knows "elections matter." ... yes, they matter so very much that when one is stolen from the people everyone turns their back and covers their eyes and ears. Why don't we ever FIGHT for this Democracy anymore? Whoever it is whether it be Democrats or Republicans will steal this election in more than one state as it was in 2000... it wasn't just Florida... the election had abnormalities in TWENTY SIX states, and neither Democrats or Republicans did anything about it. It was simply Florida that was the focus because it was so pronounced and because it was Jeb Bush's state. But it seems to be a pattern of "politicians" in both parties... NO GUTS.
They can't stand up to election fraud, and they can't stand up to traitors that steal them and then proceed to ruin this country for EIGHT LONG YEARS while they sit there whining about rights being taken away and wars being waged when they have every mechanism per this Constitution to rectify it. What did they expect? BOTH parties have let the American people down, and now they want our support and money... Oh, and to "remember" the fraud and let it anger us enough to vote Democratic of course while they continue to cover their eyes and ears.
To me this is the height of arrogance as they so easily dismiss needing states and dissing the voters that live in them. Obama, this isn't about YOU. But hey, if they can "win" (since that is all this is about to all of them) without Ohio and Florida, perhaps they can win it without me too and all of the Democrats who have been telling them about election fraud and impeaching these criminals and being IGNORED.-

oh my god, how dare they care about the votes of other people?

Wow.

Did any of you actually read the article?
It was about not focusing and depending solely on Ohio and Florida to win the election. It was stating that there are many other ways to win including turning states like Virginia blue.-

"Asked about his remarks, Plouffe said Ohio and Florida start out very competitive — but he stressed that they are not tougher than other swing states and said Obama will play "extremely hard" for both. But he said the strategy is not reliant on one or two states.
"You have a lot of ways to get to 270," Plouffe said. "Our goal is not to be reliant on one state on November 4th." "
I think it is funny how people blindly follow the accusations and analysis of others without actually doing the research to make their own opinions. The titl of this post is not even remotely relevant to what Plouffe was saying. He meant that those two states aren't any more important than the others, not that they were irrelevant.
I hate how the end of each line in responses, are cut off, btw. Is this the case for anyone else?-

Yes.......I'm also upset by the two parties, that most of the time seem like just one party. I feel like these people need to devise a way for them to be more transparent. All though,I'm am not too sure how I expect them to pull it off, when all along, all the media is controlled by a hand full of old white guys who apparently have some other agenda beside a democratic news media.
There are other things we need to change about our society, but I just can't see how any of it can come about without the reformed media. We need a whole lot of independent news organizations again.
One of the first things I would change, is a method to recall a political leader who clearly is not following the path they said they were going to follow when they were running for office. All though I think we all need to take a certain amount of responsibility, when a candidate will only talk about how bad their opponent is, we need to be realistic about it and hold them accountable for NOT discussing their own plans. But, as fast as things can change, I am really pissed off that we have to continue to put up with the same butt heads, seems like forever.
