Impeachment: It Still Matters

Last week, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, again introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush.

They were referred to the House Judiciary Committee, where no action is likely to be taken.

The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., strongly supported the impeachment of President Bush three years ago.

In an interview with Harpers magazine in 2005, Conyers was asked why impeachment was important.

“To take away the excuse that we didn’t know,” Conyers said at the time. “So that two or four or 10 years from now, if somebody should ask, ‘Where were you, Conyers, and where was the United States Congress?’ when the Bush administration declared the Constitution inoperative and revoked the license of parliamentary government, none of the company now present can plead ignorance or temporary insanity, can say that ’somehow it escaped our notice’ that the President was setting himself up as a supreme leader exempt from the rule of law.”

  • I don't even understand the time that goes by with NO ACCOUNTABILITY!

For the most part the Congress and Senate have been complicit in their responsibilities.
If you don't believe me read the oath of office that is repeatedly ignored.
Waxman and Conyers come off as paper tigers.
They subpoena and no one shows, they investigate and nothing happens. and time marches on.

How can this betrayal of people elected as leaders and representatives continue over a period of years?
They lie, cheat and steal and all at the taxpayers expense. Our perverted system of justice will lock someone up for a bag of dope but will ignore these miscreants as they piss on the Constitution and steal us blind.
I just don't understand how anyone with a moral compass can allow this to continue!

People, make phone calls, email and send faxes until changes are made.
Bush and Cheney lie with a straight face to the camera and to you. They are doing irreversible damage to this country and they are profiting while many suffer as a result of their actions.
    STOP IT.. STOP IT NOW..

  • The holder of the office of President of the United States is, arguably, the most powerful man in the world. In the case of someone like Bush or Lincoln, this is a very bad thing. Had the people dumped MSM (mainstream media) as its sole source of info and learned the whole story, the real facts, about what is going on, likely we would be electing Dr./Rep. Ron Paul for President this year. The Congress and Senate, no matter how well meaning they may be, don't have power to effect real change. Look at Dr. Paul's record as Rep. of TX and you'll know he'd take us back to a Constitutional Government, get rid of the unconstitutional Federal Reserve along with many obtrusive and downright destructive Bureaucracies, starting with the IRS. He'd steadily lead us back to our Constitutional system, which puts the power back in the hands of the States, with National Defense, LOCAL courts and Local police...no more armed IRS agents battering a window on a VW bug they decided to repossess from an innocent couple who took a legitimate tax break that was subsequently taken away retroactively, triggering $14,000 in penalties, fees, etc., then selling said VW for less than auction costs, leaving that couple WOW (without wheels) and now more in debt to the IRS Nazi, with no way to get back and forth to work to pay the growing bill. This really happened, every Congressman and Senator at the time was sent "IRS abuse reports", about two a day for a time, including the above story, by Neo-Tech Publishing, who was raided by armed IRS agents, not for not paying their taxes (they overpaid) but solely for their writings, which criticized IRS and the alphabet soup bureaucracy that is destroying our country that it is supposed to protect. This was a clear violation of NTP's First Amendment rights (there's a good reason it's the FIRST Amendment, freedom of the press and religion are the hallmarks of our once great country). Neo-Tech's Editor, Frank R. Wallace was held as a political prisoner for his writings, and, by SHEER coincidence, was sadly recently run over and killed by a hit and run driver.
The point I am trying to make is the President can turn our country into a Nazi like Tyranny, or Re-turn it to its once great glory our forefathers were willing to risk their lives for. Don't blame me, I tried to get Ron Paul elected. Who will you elect? If you think you only have two choices at this time, please, by all means, do me and my country a huge favor: get educated on the Real facts ( Like Google Ron Paul and see what he's about and what he's currently up to) or just stay home on election day.

  • Kucinich is simply the best.

George W. Bush’s sentence-by-sentence speaking skills are deteriorating. Apparently, this may be due to a mental illness called “presenile dementia.” Bush may or may not be secretly still drinking heavily. Bush suffers from narcissism and megalomania. Moreover, Bush has been arrested three times. Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct. Bush was arrested for stealing. Bush was also arrested for a serious crime—driving under the influence of alcohol. There are reasons to believe that Bush suffers from a learning disability. Bush’s learning disability would explain a lot of things. All in all, Bush is a severely mentally ill individual. Bush is not fit to be the president of the United States.
