The original KITT car from the 1980s hit show Knight Rider has been sold on internet auction site eBay. The black 1984 Pontiac Trans Am attracted a top bid of around £27,000.

The car was used in the third and fourth series of the cult US crime-fighting drama, which starred David Hasselhoff as former cop Michael Knight.

    Michael: Well, then tell them to stay out of my way!
    Devon: You can't do this! There is a judicial system!
    Michael: I don't need a judge and jury for this one.

    (A couple of scenes later and the Hoff catches up Durant and is about to beat him to death)

    KITT: Michael! Michael, stop it! You wouldn't be able to live with yourself!

  • this kitt is the later model when it had super duper turbo boost.i think that was series 2.
