18 year old Lukasz Zbylut came to the US five years ago and since then has learned the English language and he is co-captain of his school’s United Nations team; founder of its debate team; president of its mock-trial team and editor of the school newspaper. And, just for kicks, he plays soccer.

I bet he sucks at soccer though...

I wonder if the above two responses are indicative of why it's more likely that someone who ISN'T from the U.S. would achieve so highly by age 18..... [irol]

Jealousy is so unbecoming. He worked hard! Of course, applying everywhere just so you could say you were accepted is kinda snobbish... HPYS should be enough. That's just overkill...

His gifts should not be made fun of. I am not as smart as he is and I for one am happy that he is so sucessful. I would be proud if he were my son or family member but since he is not I want to say i admire him and his hard work to get what he has. And I know many soccer players who suck but they get out there do you? and what does getting laid have to do with it at all coemery ? i didnt think that was in the story above, Or is it that you finally lost your cherry and you have to put it into print for all to congradulate you??
this young man is to hold his head up and be proud of what he has done. embrace others gifts dont make fun of them because we didnt do as well...gezzzz
