last time i was in Iceland a few fishermen told me a program was being discussed with the gov't whereby any fish caught and packaged in Iceland , as a luxury item , would actually have an origin code number on the package , using which a consumer could go to a special site , enter the number , and pictures of the boat and the crew would be pulled up , in addition to a map of the specific area the particular fish was caught in , when it was caught , etc. - you start with a fish and wind up learning everything about the country , and eventually you visit the place , start flying iceland air to the UK with a free layover in Iceland , and become a lifelong lover of the place - all because the gov't and the fishing industry decided to give you complete access to the truth about what you're eating . brilliant.

So, for products that currently say "May contain traces of peanuts," will the companies now have to expand that label to say "May contain traces of peanuts ... which may come from Brazil ... or possibly Senegal ... honestly, we don't really know what's coming in or going out of this place"?

Good! Sometimes I wonder where it all comes from and you can't find anything but packing numbers.
