Obama says that if Osama is captured alive, killing him would make him a martyr, and we shouldn't do that.....because you know, its not like all of the taliban fighters we kill or who kill themselves arent seen as martyrs.(sarcasm)

  • I agree that killing Bin Laden would make him a martyr if we manage to capture him. Now, it is likely true that all of the suicide bombers are considered martyrs to the religious nutcase terrorists, but Bin Laden would probably be a big and important martyr.

What would be best is to imprison him in some high security prison (either in or out of the states) and let him wither and die of old age. Let the terrorists leader and hero shrivel up into something pathetic rather than let him go out with a bang.

  • MRsmithers, who is this God person you're blithering on about?

    Isn't he that bearded magician?

well, anyway, Obama's right. killing Osama bin Laden would make him a martyr. we invaded the Middle East and succeeded...in making them hate us. even more than they already did. which is an astounding feat.

the United States government has been fucking with other nation's internal affairs for more than 200 years.

and now other nations are fucking us back.

this is cyclical. this is how history works. welcome to the world.

    top notch.
  • Obama clearly doesn't understand how to deal with terrorism. In 2002, he opposed invading Iraq because it would supposedly distract us from defeating al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan while inflaming terrorism around the globe and lead to "an occupation of undetermined length, with undetermined costs and undetermined consequences."

I bet Obama felt like a jackass when our troops were greeted as liberators and Jeffersonian Democracy spread across the Middle East with MacDonald's and Starbucks opened in Mecca and Tehran.
