Art and Style
Jao is an "artist-athlete" who combines extreme sports and painting.
Wearing a helmet and knee pads, she paints a 8x12 foot canvas in
three minutes and twenty seconds with gigantic sponges. She also
wears a heart monitor, because she believes that she enters a special
altered state at a certain heart rate.

I don't care if anyone thinks this is crazy. It inspired me to get my lazy, somewhat artistic body off the couch and made me begin something new. Thank you, Jao!!!

What an amazing combo. Creativity for the mind and activity for the body. Love it. Love it. Love it.

I think this is just another person, under the guise of an "artist" who finds a gimmick and holds on to it for dear life.

Jao is a hyperactive women who likes throwing paint on a large canvass. An athlete and and artist...gimme a break. She has no clue about either. I suggest living and working tirelessly with artists. Choose a particular medium or discipline and study it for years and become recognized by the artist community then maybe just maybe you can call yourself an artist. You have no clue about what it is to create anything worthy of being called art. A monkey can throw paint up like that. Good luck. You can fool some of the people some of the time...

Jao was part of the New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC.org) and taught classes on speed painting. Everyone felt they had expressed themselves in a totally different way and fell in love with the process. It is so important to teach people that you can express yourself and not be afraid of those who feel that spending years in an art school makes you an artists. She also created the mascot for this year's festival (Tada!). Her art is passionate, original and full of heart.
    You rock, Jao!!!
