Teenage pregnancies took a sudden upturn at Gloucester High School in Massachussets but no one expected to hear half of the 17 pregnant teenagers admitting to making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together.
Principal Joseph Sullivan said that wasn't the most shocking of facts about this strange case, "We found out one of the fathers is a 24-year-old homeless guy," he told Time Magazine in an interview.
Officials at the school began to worry when there was a sudden rise in the number of girls asking for pregnancy tests with the girls being more upset to find out they weren't pregnant than if they were.

Man, people are dumb. This weakens my faith in humanity, or at least in my fellow Americans.
-
Hahahahaha......Idiocracy is coming true.
-
Dood why?!!!! WHY? Don't they have anything better to do?
-
It's the "American Pie" pact, but for girls. haha. I smell the movie.
-

Very interesting that no one else is talking here about why?
Girls with little self esteem (read: where are the parents?)
who have no love in their lives (read again, where are the parents?) are getting pregnant so that they will have someone to unconditionally love them...
Where are the parents? Where is the community? Don't these kids have real friends?
I'm sorry but this is a :
WAKE UP CALL....-

I wonder if they're teaching "abstinance only" sex ed?
-
The winner in this situation-The homeless guy. Got to sleep on something soft at least for awhile.
-
what?!
-
That's sad... after the first week they will get sick of playing 'house' and then what? I don't think they realize this alters their life forever and puts limitations on their futures. (That's IF they keep the kid)
-
Hahahahah. That would happen in Gloucester.
-
Shoot me now.

Well I can't say they are wrong or right, or if they don't have any morals. Seems to me that playing down or up this situation is just a wrong move to make. Let them learn life and see how it is. Then after a few years I will love to hear from the girls, and see how their experiences been like with a child of their own.

There's a reason all fertile people should be kept infertile until they prove they have a right to have children.
These girls sicken me.-

when 17 teenage girls from massachussets agree that this is a good idea, its not so much a stretch to understand how we were misled into attacking Iraq.
-
woow.. people seem to do everything nowadays, whether it is for attention , or just plain stupidity
-
It's the governments fault!
This is what they get for taking us off our asses and getting us to be 'physically active!' Everybody knows the sole purpose of the computer was not to share information, but to hypnotize teenagers with myspace and youtube so that they would stop having sex for outrageous reasons! -
What would be a breech in the pact?
If one shall catch an STD, ye shall hold off, until you're clean? -
They should all go on Maury!
-
Its no wonder Bush got elected twice with a country full of idiots like this.
-
A HOMELESS GUY?! HAHAHAHA
-
Surely he must now be the luckiest homeless guy ever. Most would be happy with some loose change.
-
It's better than a suicide pact...
-
They SHOULD be making the pact to all go to college, get an education, be young, grow to be adults, be in each others weddings, have fun together.
Not become mothers as they are still children.-
