In short, the current 5% sales tax will not be enough to pay for the influx of people that will be eligible for aid next fiscal year. The Financial Minster pushes the idea to increase the national sales tax to combat the costs as soon as possible. Prime Minister Fukuda expresses similar concern. Tokyo is already the second most expensive city in the world to live in-- imagine after the tax!

Just know what you are getting yourself into when you travel and you should be fine.
I personally hope to intern/find a job possibly in a design studio in Japan, maybe Europe (especially if the Republicans somehow win in November).

Oh, definitely! Just know how to handle the city and you'll be fine. I'm also thinking about heading over to either Japan or England for interning or a job. However, it'd be for public relations.
