I recently discovered photoworkshop.com, a website that is similar to current_ in that it emphasizes the community of the members and allows members of the community to critique the work of the other members. The website also offers "motivational and inspirational assignments" weekly, which can be commented on. Instead of video and the wide range of other multimedia that is covered on current_, Photo Workshop is for photographers. Unlike current_, membership to the site costs a small fee. I think it's well worth the cost to upload photos and get responses and critiques of your work. Maybe I'm just way behind the ball and most of you already know about it, but I wanted to pass the word along to those who didn't since it is very similar to this great website.
