  • Stupid would be to belive propaganda aimed at one side of a point of view. I also see where obama today reveresed his pledge to only accept public funds in his quest for office. That is flipfloping and that is no change from the status-quo. In truth that was a key issue for some who based their vote on such promises. To say your for change is one thing. To take actions that are not any different is another. This is just the begining.

  • You are very, very misinformed, but appreciate your attempt.
  • Misinformed about what? His broken promise or your one sided views?

  • "To say your [sic] for change is one thing."

    I am for change. Show me some proof that he's reversed his stance on not taking corporatist lobby money or else STFU.

    Any vote for McSame shows you're not for change.

    It's shameful to know that there still people in the usa and the world who still harbor hate even rage when it comes to race.

  • I've been following this story for a while... What do you expect? Republicans CAN NOT win the Presidential election on the issues. Whether its the slumping economy, the escalating wars, or the pervading corruption in the executive. The Republican's only option is to attack Obama and his family with personal slander. You can expect more racism, twisting of words, and manufactored political issues in the coming months from our conservative party.

    This is the exact reason why Barack Obama must win the Presidency.

  • Wow cortlanderson has been following the story! Like no one else has? I am the furthest from being a republican as you can get. If you consider the posting of truthfull actions taken by a canidate as twisting the truth you just prove the point. Thats not change. Thats the same old BS we always here. You cant support your argument so call them a racist. How pathetic.

  • Really some of the stuff makes sense. I'm not calling Mrs.Obama Unamerican or any thing but it is a little alarming for her to say what she did.

  • Why is this article related to Gobama? In any event Roll Tide.

  • Honestly I have to say that Joe Scarborough is a great man. He's standing up to typical racism from the conservative and, sadly (some)white liberal front on his few clips. I think that people need to realize how racist we are right now.

  • It was edited. She said REALLY proud. They went swimming in the sewer to make that video. Obama changed his stance on funding because McCain cheated on it long ago and the Republican slime machine is gearing up with PAC money and the RNC money to fight full out. He had no choice. He can't run against their dishonest machine with just public financing and the tremendous support from the people they will bury him in slime and lies. I fully understand what they have planned and so does he. I still trust him. There is a troll amongst us. Don't feed the troll. Keep on Rocking Amber. Honesty always caps the crap.

  • First off, about the Michelle Obama thing:
    Give it a fucking REST. Patriotism is not a requirement for living in this country, she has the freedom of her opinion, whatever it is. And frankly I'm not proud of my country yet, and I'm not even an adult. So shoot me. She is not running for president, her husband is, but republicans can't come up with any better way to attack him other than insulting his wife and his race.

  • Michelle has the right to have what she says unedited and reported accurately. I personally have been having a hard time lately feeling REALLY proud of our country lately. Why should anyone with the ability to think and know right from wrong feel any different?
  • Thank you Marilynn for including the key word REALLY. I just can't handle these village idiots much longer.

  • It's all overflowing hubris in this country and it is sad, so sad. Such pride blinds them from things that have happened, and she is in place that now is when she is proud to be an American, because this is when her husband has gotten to that point and no one has stopped him, no one. This hubris comes from the constant protection there is only caused by FEAR.

  • Let me say this. I am so very proud of our candidate and Michelle. I shout if from the rooftops to drown out the blithering idiots. Will you join me?
  • I just can't believe how people can get away with some of the Sh*t they say on television, everyone is just pointing fingers, well they can say this.. but we cant say this or that on both sides... I hope for a day that peace is here to stay

  • I am incredibly disgusted with the Republican party and all they stand for. DISGUSTED!

    I am not proud of my country. I am not happy with how it is treating it's people - legal Americans, I am not happy with the way our government lies to us, uses us for personal gain and allows corporations and foreigners to exploit us.

    Michelle Obama said it was the first time she was "REALLY proud". How many of you Hillbillary / mcShame supporters can honesty say that?

    Never mind, you've taught me not to expect an honest answer so I'll answer for you, these are the words in your head that you are too cowardly to say to yourself for fear it's true:
    1) 'I have no self worth but what I derive from material possession' - hence the reason why you accept the invasion, occupation and murder of Iraq and Iraqis;
    2) 'I am afraid to look inward, I have no inner voice' - therefore you have no sympathy for other humans or life forms since you have long since buried your own feelings and live externally - hence your self-identity being based on material possession;
    3) 'I don't know what is right or wrong because I don't know myself and therefore have no moral compass based upon common sense and respect for myself or others' - therefore you do not take a moral stand when confronted with the wrong doing of those you have mistakenly taken for healthy / mature male (or female) characteristics - which brings me back to the denial you refuse to face and the innocent lives you are content to needlessly die.

    And about those of you who refuse to impeach the wrong doing of mice you misperceive to be men, that's just scratching the surface.

    Wiser minds than your own know beyond a shadow of a doubt Obama is the MAN to vote for.

  • I am sorry I did not watch the entire video, but I am going to be 37 is there any pictures that they used in the video that has taken place in my life time?

    OK I went back and watched the video.

    There was one picture that I saw in that video that I think took place in my life time and it was not even taken on our soil. Are we perfect? No. But nothing like what has taken place in those pictures has taken place here in my life, as an institutionally protected view point. There are stupid individuals of all races.

    I don't think it is a race issue any more.

    In fact, It was not much of a race issue until thirty or so years after the civil war.

  • Its both a race issue and a human rights issue.

  • Well, this story seemed to convey the reasons why a black American may for the first time "Really" be proud to be an American... meaning after 400 years of autrocities/cruelties to the African American people (note the pictures of reality/demostrations) She feels that many people have overcome racial injustice stances, and back a candidate for president who happens to be Black... (1/2 black by the way, not 3/4ths of a man... Hello!) Everyone is grasping at ridiculous straws when they attack her on this comment! Her point was justified! That's the issue here, other vents do not seem relevant, really.

  • watching those white people try to belittle racism for their agenda, makes me hope they will become people only from the past.

  • ok wow. you know they are right. racism has changed these days and its right that black people these days keep talking about racism up and keep fueling it. if black people did not bring it up, it would go away much easier. i believe Obama is a great candidate, and what they said about that fist pound is stupid it was just a fist pound. but what she said was stupid how could you not be proud of your country for so many years, politics is picky you have to be careful with your words. racism will only end when people move on. oh and by he way it was the africans that sold slaves to the white men that brought them her so shut up about the fact that we stole them, we bought them. be at peace knowing that time is gone, but open your eyes knowing hatred wont fix itself until people learn to move on.

  • I don't consider myself a racest, It is not the fact that Mr. Obama is colored, it is the fact that he has ties to the Muslim community. This nation was founded as on nation under God, not Ala, Budha or any other false God. We need to remember that when we vote for president. Granted there isn't much to choose from, but I will not vote for someone who go's against God's word.
