    This is what gives anthropologists a bad name. Lying for the sake of publicity. Duh, you honestly think there's people living in the forest we haven't seen yet? Get real. The more people lie to save these indigenous peoples, the more nails you pound into their coffin, because its discrediting, and soon people cease to care. Be honest.

    Good publicity stunt for anti-logging efforts. I agree, it's not the best way to approach the situation, but it got the issue a lot of press and attention. We don't get too huffy about having truths stretched about products we're being sold. Is it really that much of a difference?

    I am equally appalled at misinformation and outright lies in advertisement.

    I agree it is with noble intention (the press on the tribe, not advertising), but the methodology is discrediting in the long run.
