  • Big pharm. Big money. Big experiments on humans. What's new? Surprised there's private sector influence?

Been to Korea lately? They're the best in reaction to bad beef from the US!

Whole foods, if it were not so costly, is the best. In Europe they don't do GM foods; last I heard.

Money laundering. 0's and 1's, who cares about quality, that's the game. Not my game mind you.

  • In my professional work, I had an opportunity to do some work for a pharmaceutical company that shall remain nameless. It really is a travesty that the focus was maximizing profitability as opposed to, you know, helping people be well. And it is a cut throat business. And like CG said, it's insidious reach stretches all the way up to the halls of our policy makers.

  • This apple is rotten from the core out. The next administration has to appoint someone to clean it up. I'd like to see Dr. Graham head that effort. Let's get drug advertising off TV. That in it's self is dangerous. My God we won't allow beer commercials on television, but we get to hear about four hour erections everyday. Give me the Hamms Bear instead. I avoid drugs whenever possible, when I have to have something I insist on the old stuff. I don't trust the new wonderful cure pills. I'll take the old not so great doesn't kill people pill that has been around since the beginning of time. Works for me, I feel safer. There has to be a look in this industry at the money trail. Thank you Carolyn.

  • The whole industry is product driven. When pharm. and health care is the #1 money-earning industry in the nation, you really have to wonder about our priorities...
