Thanks to NC State University engineers and veterinarians, animals with missing limbs can get the latest in prosthetics--custom osseointegrated prosthetics that actually become part of the animal's native bone. The research may one day help soldiers and others with severe limb injury or amputations to have a more comfortable and stronger prosthetic limb replacement.

Dr. Harrysson works in my department. This work/research could be very helpful to amputees.
