Today, Don Imus did it again. While on the air with his co-host, the topic of Adam "Pacman" Jones being arrested six times in two years while playing for the NFL Tennessee Titans was brought up. Imus ask his co-host, what color was "Pacman" ? His co-host referred, "he's African American. Imus then said, " Well, there you go, now you know ", suggesting that there should be no surprise to his multiple arrest because, he's Black. Imus, as everyone in radio does, knew that Adam Jones was Black. He was suggesting to the radio listeners that they should have been surprised at all.

Network officials were not available for immediate comment. Most people were surprised that Imus was hired by any station after his racial remarks were made about the African American women on the Rutgers University basketball team a while back. Most will be surprised if he remains on the air at all this time, after suggesting to American radio listeners that, people should not be surprise about the criminal records of African Americans.

Adam Jones was suspended for a full season by NFL Commisioner, Roger Goodell for being part of a group that was involved in a Las Vegas strip club brawl that left one man paralyzed for life, after being shot by a member of Pacman;s click. Jones had foolishly allowed the club to use $100,000.00 dollars of his personal money to "make it rain" one hundred dollar bills at midnight on New Years Eve of 2007. The money was left unprotected and fight broke out between members of Pacman's entourage and club employees. Jones was charged but not found guilty of directly being in the brawl. He recently sign a new contract with Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones. The league has not yet completely lifted his suspension, however he has been granted permission to practice with the team.

  • This is bullshit Kieth. Shaquille O'neal just did a freestyle dissing Kobe Bryant, in which, he used the following words: "thats like a white boy being more "nigger" than me." I don't here anyone calling him a racist. Just because of that, from now on, I refuse to take any "race" issue seriously, simply because, I refuse to acknowledge the existence of such a thing.

  • There will be no peace until we have fairness. Having White people, heterosexuals, White males demean minorities, women, gays, etc... was not right in it's heyday and is not right now. However, what we have right presently isn't right either-- radical feminists and minorities, gays, etc... demeaning White people, White males, heterosexuals, etc... Most people are so full of shit it is coming out their ears. They play the victim when the chips are down and then become tyrants when they get power (that goes for everybody).
  • Still, you can't teach an old dog new tricks...Imus, intentionally, dissed blacks, maybe to apeal to his right-wing base, maybe to cleverly stick the knife in where it can't be seen, or maybe just because he's an old fool who needs to appeal to other old racist fools...he could have made any other comment, but he had to imply that Jones, because he's black, he's prone to crime...it's that kind of stigma that little kids immediately catch on to... at least the kids are smarter than Imus these days...

  • Is this the only thing that this man can do to draw ratings to his show? I mean come on, really? last year the Rutgers scandal, should have put a bullet in his long dead career, but people felt bad for the guy and now hes back for round 2. Can't wait for the media circus surounding his comments this time.

  • Why in the world does ANYONE listen to Imus? It's the most boring show in the world without all the racist crap.

  • Are we trying to say that black college and professional athletes don't have more trouble with the obeying the law than others? Then it must be that the media is biased, because my statistics based on media reports say they have more than three times as much.

Might it also be that we have nationally become allergic to the truth?

Is it, for instance, also "prejudiced" to note that black people have more incidence of cycle cell anemia or high blood pressure than whites? Why, then, is it "hate speech" to say (or know) that crime rates like those rape and murder are much higher among black people?

Is that not so; and it it is, why is it wrong to know it, or let the public know it? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS BENIGHTED BOOBY-HATCH?
  • i actually believe Imus this time. I mean, hes not dumb, he's not gonna make the same mistake twice...racist or not, he didnt mean to call those girls nappy headed hos out loud...lets be honest...there are many racists out there, you just don't know it bcus they keep it on the down low....they know its not socially acceptable, so they keep it between them and their racist buddies...so if Imus is a racist, he's not dumb enough to OUT himself publicly as a racist...he must've genuinely thought it was OK to say or would be taken as a joke. So why would he do it again with this comment about Pacman Jones? I believe him that he was honestly sayin it in a way like 'oh he was Black? of course he was bein harrassed by police...they're always messin with black ppl...' i dont think he meant it the way most ppl are takin it.

it is important for you to know that I am a Black woman, and i was appalled at his comments about the Rutgers team, but this...i jus don't see any malice here.

  • This is really ridiculous, and in every sense of the word. Maybe everybody should have another look at the "How Stupid Are We" book.

Only when black people laugh at racist talk as the braying of a jackass it is, and stop beating their friends in the white community over the head with charges of racism every time a black person screws up, will we all make progress.

Black athletes get in a hell of a lot more trouble than white ones do - it's a fact. Let's FIX the problem, not politicize it - and "fix" doesn't mean blame it all on whites.

How stupid are we? THIS crap about Imus is how stupid!
