I liked it up until the point where he made fun of Hawaiian shirts. I like wearing Hawaiian shirts. If it's the dead of winter, I like to at least be in a tropical state of mind. But my shirts are tasteful, at least.

This would be funny if he's truly gay, if he's not, he's just another straight guy/girl using homos as a source of entertainment rather than effectively making a point. I for one wish we all had a better sense of humour, I just can't stand it when "straights" have to jump over to homo humour to entertain themselves because being straight is obviously the most boring sexual orientation.

You got to be kidding me that the few white people that stood up for them made any real difference in their plight, the same white people you might use as examples of this "help" (JFK, RFK, LBJ, etc) were also instrumental in how slow change occurred and only made a difference when they were shown the human side of the civil rights movement by meeting with and becoming friendly with the people who made the real difference (MLK , Young, Farmer, & Cesar Chavez). Even Malcolm X was more instrumental in change occurring and he preached using any force necessary to accomplish their goal (which in my opinion was the real reason JFK, RFK, & LBJ really took notice and knew they had to be on the cusp of change rather than losing credibility with minority voters by keeping it on the back burner) The threat of revolt and unrest in the country was too great for them not to be inline with the change the civil rights movement was pushing for.

I won't even get started on your opinion that women have somehow been helped by men in their plight for equality, I think Hillary Clinton was proof enough that men are a long way from accepting women as their true peers and not just some subordinate who can compete with the rest of them.

I know I sure as hell don't need anyone from the majority fighting side by side with me when I advocate change in opinion on equal rights for gay people. Hell, we prefer when they aren't in line with us because even when they are they still hold some sort of opinion that contradicts them stating they feel we should be treated equal. We don't need hypocrites to further our cause, it will only hurt and give people the impression we will settle for any type of half ass equality, such as "tolerance". I don't need anyone to tolerate me, I think I'm the one being tolerant.
