Jason Bateman confirms that a big-screen version of canceled TV show "Arrested Development" is planned for next year. I can't wait -- somebody queue "Final Countdown" because a small part of my faith in mankind has been restored.
-
The world is now right again. Amen.
-
This makes me happy.
Can't believe, with all the crap that does well on TV, this show got canceled... -
PRAISE THE LORD!

Huzzah. The planets have aligned and set things right. As long as the movie doesn't end with a request to the family to join a superhero group.
-
i think i just blue myself
-
HUZZAH!
-
I made a huge mistake.
-
This is Awesome!
-
Why this ever went off the air I'll never understand.
Oh yeah, to make room for more reality TV.
crap. -
Michael:
What do you think of when you hear the name, "Sudden Valley"?
George Michael Bluth:
Salad dressing. But I don't really want to eat it.
Michael:
What about, "Paradise Gardens"?
George Michael Bluth:
Yeah... I can see myself marinating a chicken in that... -
when have I ever.....admitted to a mistake....?
-
Oh YES! iamsoexcited.
Here's David Cross on why Arrested Development was cancelled. He says F*CK a lot, so watch it quietly. -
If it hasn't already been recognized as such, we'll soon appreciate this show as being utterly iconic. Now I have a reason to thank Hollywood for making Sex and the City into a movie (which I won't ever watch).

oh my goodness! This is the best news I've heard all month! I can't believe there is going to be a movie!
-
I'm so happy to be alive right now. I mean these past couple of years have been a good time for movies. Does anyone remember like for years ago when every (if not all) movies that were out sucked horribly?
-
You know, it's not exactly headline news, but DAMN I'm glad their making some entertainment worth watching, this show was AWESOME...
-
I only discovered the joys of this show a couple of months ago and I'm officially hooked - so happy there;s more to come!!!!
-

I can't wait! I know I'll love it no matter what. Alot of people dissed the SWC movie, but I absolutely loved it. It made my knees weak and my weewee squirt peepee.
I heart Jason Bateman! Even though he's a little prissy when it comes to his looks. -
Man, they need to make more shows like this one (AD), SWC, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld (the early years, but I liked 'em all), and The Larry Sanders Show. I miss all of them! Good thing Curb will be back next month! YAYAY!
-
I can't believe that yet again something as useless as this piece of 'news' is on TV, while more important things are passed by. If it wasn't posted by a staff member, would it have gone on?

Yeah, I have to agree with Poison. As much as I like this show and thread I hope Current isn't gonna go the way of other news channels and cover more fluff than real news about the current issues at hand. I enjoy entertainment but hardly see how this thread could have been more important than the one I posted on Nader, or anyone else's dealing with real issues. Afterall, this (Current.com) was supposed to be the exception.
It does depend on viewers though, and apparently even Current members are more obsessed with fluff than they are interested in discussing the current social woes affecting this country and the world.
P.S.
I am convinced (well at least it's one of my so called "conspiracy theories") because this (Current.com) was in part cofounded by Gore, that Nader posts don't get nearly as much attention as they should. Sometimes viewer content shouldn't be based merely on votes, but also on how important and relevant a topic is to current social and political events. Like I said I don't have a problem with these stories, I actually like them alot, but do agree with Poison that Current.com should be held to a higher standard since their stance is so critical of the mainstream media. -
OMG! I am sooo Stoked for this! I am glad that they agreed on making into a movie, they set it up for one, now they can do it!

Jason Bateman makes an appearance, along with a surprise guest, on Countdown to discuss this and his new movie.

This makes me happier than any magic trick Gob has ever done.
-
The great thing about this is that this news comes on the day I get to go to Sea World with a friend of mine. Hope I don't run into any Lucilles. Ah!
-
gee...earth-shattering. Changes my life forever.
-
if i were the jack the ripper i would go out and celebrate in a most gruesome way, but since i'm not i'll just sit here and eat a thing of candy beans.
p.s. for all of the haters on current.com who can't get over this BEING news, grab a sign spouting all of the injustices of the world, find yourself a corner and get it all off your chest (preferrably in Alaska) and leave all of the JOYOUS CELEBRATING to all of us who have known for 2+ years that Fox has made a huge mistake! -
I hop
