This has got to be the most absurd piece of technology news I've seen in a while. SERIOUSLY?

  • What whiners. Those women have two options: cut their nails, or get a different phone. Simple enough.

  • If you click through to the original source in the story (the one that works), only one woman is quoted as mentioning misogyny. This is not a case of a group of women making some ridiculous claim, this is a case of a sexist blogger blowing something out of proportion to fuel the feminist backlash.

But pardon me for speaking up - I must be a whiner too!

  • *sighs* Subjugation of woman + stupid woman = annoying claim that actually gets news coverage.

I say subjugations because women are/were encouraged to have long nails as a sign of "hey, I don't have to do dirty labor" but it became a status symbol and some women perceive it as necessary to have "the look" to keep "the status". (Which I'm not going to argue with. Who gets taken out to dinner more? A fashionable woman, or a more casual one?) Similar to high heels, jewelry, and other status symbols.

  • Are pencils sexist? Are clothes sexist? Are computers sexist? Are all phones sexist?

Certainly these women have trouble because of their long nails. Long nails that THEY chose to have for stupid reasons.

For goodness sakes, stop dragging the rest of us down with you!

  • I can't take my contact lenses out of my eyes when I have fake nails on! Does that make Bausch & Lomb sexist?
